1 Dismantling of walk in Cold storage at the Blood Centre of GMCH Jammu. The job involves a safe, multistep process to safely remove or dispose off the equipment by cutting off the main power supply to the unit and then the refrigerant gas is recovered safely and securely (to avoid any incident as it is flammable) by the skilled techinicians. Then the Air conditioning unit is removed carefully from its installed position and stacked manually to safer place. The job further includes removing the steel wall racks fitted on all the 3 walls of the cold room by cutting all the rusted screws by electric cutter and then carefull removing all the steel racks from the cold room one by one. Then the cold room doors are dismantled by removing them from hinges of door frames as this allows a considerable amount of weight to be relieved from the cold room in preparation for removal of ceiling. The relief of weight helps the cold room wall panels to remain stable once the ceiling is removed and helps to eliminate any chance of walls collapsing incident. Then the internal trims are removed from the walls of ceiling to release the ceiling panel from the cold room walls for ceiling removal . The ceiling panel is removed from one end by pushing two ceiling panels at the first joint from the end wall either mechanically or by physical means by breaking the seal. After removing the ceiling the cold room walls are to be dismantled by starting in one corner by removing the capping from cold room panels and dismantling each panel individually. The job further includes removing the trims of the floor plates and base panels by unscrewing the capping or trims that are fixed to the floor and removing the base panels individually one by one and stacking outside. The job also includes disposing of all the material of the cold storage to a designated place (as directed by the site engineer) outside the building by head load carriage and mechanical means .
