Appendix I - Providing concrete mass on the downstream face

Clearing thick and thorny jungle without uprooting of thick vegetation and small trees of girth upto 30 cm and removal of rubbish upto a distance of 150 m outside the periphery of the area cleared.

Making temporary Road towards Block No. 8,9,10,12 &14 from dam security cabin using departmental earth, up to 1 km lead and lift and compacting in layers including , labour charges etc. for moving vehicles to site with all leads and lifts etc. complete as per the specification and directions of the Engineer in charge.

Common excavation in all classes of soil including boulders upto 0.5 m3 in size at all elevations and depositing the excavated spoil at designated areas or other suitable locations with all leads up to 1 km and lifts etc. complete as per the specification and directions of the Engineer in charge.

Excavation in hard rock and removing boulders above 0.5m3 in size at all elevations by open blasting using explosives with jack hammer drilling including conveying and depositing the excavated muck at designated areas or at suitable locations including all leads up to 1 km and lifts, cost of compressed air, jack hammer, water line, etc. complete as per the specifiation and directions of the Engineer in charge.

Excavation in hard rock and removing boulders above 0.5m3 in size by controlled and protected blasting , wherever specifically required, using explosives with jack hammer drilling including conveying and depositing the excavated muck at designated areas or at suitable locations including cost of compressed air, jack hammer, water, all leads up to 1 km and lifts as directed by the Engineer in charge etc. complete as per specifications.

Excavation in rock and boulders above 500 dm3 in size by non explosive agent/splitter or any other method with out resorting to the use of conventional explosive materials with jack hammer etc. drilling, conveying and disposing the unserviceable materials up to 1 km lead and all lifts, cost of compressed air, jack hammer, water, etc.

Pumping or Bailing out water and removing slush etc by using pump set including cost of labour, oil, hire charges of pumpset, etc complete

Wedging, barring, picking, chiselling, benching etc. of hard rock wherever necessary including conveying and depositing the spoil in the designated areas including all lead and lift etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Foundation preparation including cleaning of foundation and removal of soil as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Removing Fungi, dust, dirt etc., from downstream face of dam body by pressure pump, water , scrapping and preparing the surface neat , clean as per direction of Engineer - in - charge.

Random Rubble masonry in CM 1:6 for retaining walls or other structures to lines and levels etc. including cost of all materials, as per directions of the Engineer in charge.

Dry rubble masonry for back filling at the places wherever necessary as directed by Engineer in charge.

Rubble pitching/rough stone dry packing to line and levels including cost of all materials, conveyance, labour charges etc. complete at site as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Fabricating and installing miscellaneous metal works using structural steel for gates, hand rails etc and other embedded parts in various floors with priming coat, including cost of all materials and labour , etc. complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

White cement washing two coat on cement plastered walls, underside of roof and floor slabs including curing, cost of materials etc. complete as per specifications and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Wall painting with acrylic emulsion paint, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour. Two coats

Compacted back filling with contractors earth with all lead and lift including ramming, consolidating, in 15cm. layers etc. complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

Supplying and fixing in position bitumen pads (25mm) for expansion/contaction joints as per the drawings under the directions of Engineer in charge.

Drilling holes using jack hammer and compressed air including cost of all materials, labour etc.complete, wherever required, for pressure grouting as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Pressure grouting with cement with or without packers at required consistency including all labour charges, machinery, equipment, air, water and cost of cement as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Furnishing and installing GI pipes and fittings for grouting as per specification and direction of Engineer in charge.

Usage of cement including conveyance and handling charges for various items of work for which cost of cement not included.

Providing PVC WEEP HOLES- using Perforated PVC pipes as seepage collecting pipe along dam body using 200mm dia. (working pressure 6kg /sq.cm) including cost of materials, conveyance, labour charges etc. complete.

Providing PVC WEEP HOLES- using Perforated PVC pipes as seepage collecting pipe along dam body using 110mm dia. (working pressure 6kg /sq.cm) including cost of materials, conveyance, labour charges etc. complete.

Applying BASF Masterbrace 1414 epoxy bonding agent to the existing masonry surface of dam to get good bond between the existing surfacce to the new concrete as directed by the departmental Staff.

Colletion, supply, stacking of 20mm/12mm broken stone in site and filling in the inter face of soil backfill and concrete backfill by well graded coarse agregate with m sand as directed by the departmental Staff.

Pointing on DR and RR work with CM 1:3(1 cement: 3 fine sand)flush/ rule pointing at all elevation including cost of all materilas and labour etc complete as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Back filling with departmental earth( Earth from Reservoir area) up to 1 km lead and lift and compacting in layers including labour charges etc. complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

Back filling with departmental earth( Earth from 24MW poject deposited near seismograph station, Poringalkuthu) up to 2 km lead and lift and compacting in layers including labour charges etc. complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

Appendix II - Construction of RCC retaining wall, protection works and maintenance of damaged road near left bank

Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm. depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earth with lead upto 50 metres.
