e-Tenders for running hostel mess facility reserved for SC/ST at Karnatak University Dharwad

The bidder shall have successfully provided institutional mess/catering services for a minimum period of three (03) years during the preceding five (05) years in any Central Government Department, State Government Department, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), Autonomous Body, University, Government-Aided Institution or any reputed educational institution. Documents to be uploaded 1. Experience Certificate(s) issued by the Competent Authority of the concerned institution. 2. Satisfactory Performance Certificate(s) issued by the Competent Authority of respective institution(s).

The bidder shall be a legally registered entity engaged in the business of providing institutional mess/catering services. The bidder may be a Proprietorship Firm, Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Company, Co-operative Society, or any other legally recognized organization permitted to undertake such services under the applicable laws. Documents to be uploaded: 1. Certificate of Incorporation/Registration/Partnership Deed, as applicable 2. Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card of the firm/entity. 3. Women Contractor Registration Certificate (for Girls/Ladies Hostels, wherever applicable). 4. Valid SC/ST Caste Certificate (for reserved hostels, wherever applicable).

The bidder shall have experience in operating an institutional mess with a minimum meal-handling capacity equal to or exceeding the student strength prescribed for the respective hostel group in a single establishment during last 03 years among any of the following academic years: 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26. (The details as specified in the bid documents)

The bidder shall possess all valid statutory licences and registrations required for operating institutional mess/catering services as on the last date prescribed for submission of bids. Documents to be uploaded 1. Valid FSSAI Licence. 2. GST Registration Certificate. 3. Trade Licence or Shop and Establishment Registration Certificate, wherever applicable.

The bidder shall comply with all applicable labour laws and statutory obligations throughout the period of the contract. Documents to be uploaded 1. Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Registration Certificate. 2. Employees State Insurance (ESI) Registration Certificate.

The bidder shall have an average annual turnover of not less than Rs20 lakh from institutional mess or catering services during the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26. Documents to be uploaded 1. Chartered Accountants Certificate certifying the annual turnover. 2. Income Tax Returns ITRs for the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26.
