Supply, Installation and Testing of 18 Nos of Maintenance Free Chemical Earthing System in a Grid at a Minimum distance of 8.00m from each other and a minimum distance of 2.00m from Building External Walls with 80mm X 3000mm Advance Chemical Earthing Pipe with [Pipe in Pipe Technology] duly welded on top with Copper Plate of size 70 X 200mm, of 20mm thick with Two Nos of contact through bracings by welding to achieve 3.5 Ohms to a maximum of 7.0 Ohms resistance for Each Pit and by maintaining an expected Grid value of 0.39 Ohms but less than 0.5 Ohms for Grid of 18 Earth Pits all around Individual Technical Building and comprising of the following items & specifications complete all as specified and as directed:

Drilling / Boring 300mm dia Bore Hole in any type of soil to a depth of not less than 3.50m from Natural Ground Level by suitable means for lowering the Copper Electrode, removal of surplus soil etc. to a distance not exceeding 50m.

Each Bore Hole shall be filled with 500mm thick compacted layer of Earth Enhancing Compound not less than 2 Bags of 5 KGs each to reduce the Soil Resistivity as per Clause 14.5d of IEEE 80:2000 [Latest Edition] of make “Terec+” complete as per Manufacturers Specifications

Thereafter, 3.00m Long, 80mm dia of Copper Pipe-in-Pipe Earth Electrode shall be placed at centre of Each Bore Hole and shall be inserted to a minimum of 300mm in to bottom layer of Earth Enhancing Compound i.e. “Terec+” Layer.

Bore Hole shall be back filled the with Earth Enhancing Compound not less than 15 Bags of 12.5 KGs each to reduce the Soil Resistivity as per Clause 14.5b of IEEE 80:2000 [Latest Edition] of make “Earthcon” up to Ground Level complete as per Manufacturers Specifications

All the Copper Pipe-in-Pipe Earth Electrodes of the 18 Earth Pits shall be Connected / Jointed / Braced / Welded with each other serially with Copper Earthing Strip of size 25 X 3mm by marinating 8.00m distance between Two Earth Pits and buried 600 mm below Natural Ground Level by digging a trench of 300 mm wide and 800 mm depth duly encapsulated with Earth Enhancing Compound to reduce the Soil Resistivity as per Clause 14.5b of IEEE 80:2000 [Latest Edition] to enhance Ionic Properties, Dispersion Properties, Hygroscopic Properties, Expansion Properties, Diffusion Properties etc. of the Back Fill Material including necessary earthwork excavation in any type of soil complete all as directed.

Fixing / Placing UV Stabilized HDPE Earth Pit with Cover confirming to IEC 62561-5 of size 500 X 500 X 250mm, consisting of Lockable Jam Free Lid, Stackable Design, resistant to substances like Petrol, Diesel, Bitumen and Concrete etc. fixed flush with Natural Ground and placed over 100mm thick PCC 1:3:6, Type C1, of size 550 X 550mm including required earthwork excavation, refilling and packing complete all as directed.

Note: The rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of the following items and activities and nothing shall be paid extra on any account: [a] The Earth Pits shall be installed such that the Earth Pits in the Grid are at a Minimum distance of 8.00m from each other and a minimum distance of 2.00m from Building External Walls and shall be connected serially. [b] The Chemical Earthing shall be guaranteed for a period of 05 [Five] Years for effective earth resistance of specified value hereinabove. [c] The Grid Value shall be less than 0.5 Ohms in all conditions and if the Grid Value is found more than 0.5 Ohms at any time during the Guarantee Period, the Contractor / Bidder shall re-execute / install the Earth Pits or may install Additional Earth Pit[s] with the same specification at no extra cost to the department. [d] Any additional work[s] / items are required in compliance with latest IEEE / IEC Standards and which may have not been specifically brought out hereinabove shall be executed to achieve the desired results during the entire period including Guarantee Period. Nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [e] Earthwork excavation in any type of soil, return filling, backfilling earth duly modified with Earth Enhancing Compound and disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m complete all as directed.

S & F Copper Strip of size 20 X 3.15 mm, fixed to walls / columns / beams etc. with Saddles or Porcelain Blocks of 10mm thick spaced at 1.00m centre to centre including making grooves and fixing with Brass Screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Hylam sheet block shall be in two pieces each 10mm thick, one fixed to base with brass screws and the other fixed over it with brass screws after fixing Copper Strip in the groove provided.

S & F Test Point Terminal Box of size 200 X 100 X 100mm made out of 2mm thick hot dip galvanised sheet, drilled and screwed including 6 Nos 15mm long hexagonal head screws complete with Test Point Terminal Block made of Gun Metal or Phosphorus Bronze of size 75 X 75 X 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs HT Danger Notice Plate of 250 mm X 200 mm, made of Mild Steel, at least 2 mm thick, and Vitreous Enamelled White on both sides, and with inscription in Signal Red Colour on Front Side as required and fixed with M.S. Clamps, Bolts and Nuts of approved size complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Decarburizing / Cleaning complete 1.1 KV, 415 Volts, 3 Phase, LT Panel / Busbar Chamber od size not less than 1700 X 1500 X 500mm with electrical connections, complete busbar from the busbar chamber, Cleaning with CTC to ensure proper decarburizing up to proper megger value, refixing the same after applying Backtol Red solution to the Busbar Insulator, applying Backtol Red Paint for both Busbar Spouts, Circuit Spouts, checking all connections, tightening the Nuts, Bolts, Thimbles of In-Coming / Out-Going System complete including replacement of defective Rusted GI Bolts & Nuts, Washers, Checknuts etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for taking out the Loose or Separated Door / Canopy / Front & Back Sheet Covers from existing LT Panel / Busbar Chamber of size not less than 1200 X 800 X 450mm and refixing the same after Welding, changing the Nuts, Bolts / Hinges if required as per site including Suitable Locking Arrangement and fixing proper Earth Connection etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for preparation of External and Internal Surfaces of LT Panels Indoor / Outdoor type by scraping down old rusted paint by steel brush, brooming, rubbing and cleaning thoroughly and Spray Painting Two Coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint of approved Colour over a Coat of Zinc Chrome Primer after filling cavities with filler etc. including taking out connections and reconnecting complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs 2mm thick Fibre Reinforced Plastic Coating with Epoxy Paint of approved colour over the surfaces of Panel Board after cleaning the surfaces thoroughly complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs and Testing Copper Bus Bar of Rating 600 to 1600 Amps with necessary Fittings, Fixtures, Nuts, Bolts, Washers including necessary modification as required and providing suitable Wiring as required complete all as specified and as directed.
