| 6 | Supply and fix Ductile Iron (DI) pressure pipes of 200 mm nominal bore (NB / internal diameter) with spigot and socket ends for push-on flexible joints (Tyton / push-on rubber ring joints), centrifugally cast (spun), Class K-7, conforming to IS 8329, factory internally lined with high-density centrifugal cement mortar lining and externally coated with metallic zinc coating followed by a finishing layer of bituminous / epoxy varnish of approved thickness, laid in excavated trenches, over ground on pedestals, or across culverts at all depths and elevations, executed in a comprehensive pipeline installation comprising: lowering, handling, aligning, setting to true line, gradient, and invert levels using sight rails and boning rods; precision cutting of pipes to required lengths, chamfering spigot ends, cleaning sockets and spigots; providing and inserting approved synthetic/EPDM rubber sealing gaskets / rubber rings (conforming to IS 5382) lubricated with non-toxic food-grade lubricant for flexible push-on joints; providing necessary excavation assistance, trimming trench bottoms, and bailing/pumping out subsoil or surface seepage water (dewatering); casting Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) of nominal mix 1:2:4 / 1:3:6 thrust blocks, anchor blocks, and pipe supports at all bends, tees, reducers, blank ends, and steep gradients; providing metallic anchoring arrangements where required; conducting field hydraulic pressure testing (to not less than 1.5 times the working pressure or specified test pressure conforming to IS 12288) using hydraulic test pumps with calibrated pressure gauges, maintaining test pressure without leakage or pressure drop, flush cleaning, disinfecting with chlorinated water, curing, and commissioning the pipeline ready for potable water transmission, complete all as specified.
(Note: Measurement shall be made along the central axis of the finished pipeline in linear metres [Rmt], including the length of spigot-and-socket joints but excluding the laying length of DI specials/fittings. Ductile Iron pipes shall conform to IS 8329 [Centrifugally Cast (Spun) Ductile Iron Pressure Pipes for Water, Gas and Sewage - Class K-7], rubber sealing gaskets to IS 5382, cement mortar lining to IS 8329 / ISO 4179, external zinc/bitumen coating to IS 8329 / ISO 8179, concrete thrust blocks to IS 456, and laying/field testing to IS 12288 [Code of Practice for Laying of Ductile Iron Pipes]. Earthwork excavation in trenches, refilling with selected soil, sand bedding/cushioning, DI flanged/socketed fittings/specials [bends, tees, tapers, blank flanges], and sluice/air/scour valves with surface boxes shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of Schedule 'A' . | 10 | Supply and fix Cast Iron (CI) double-flanged sluice valve / gate valve of 200 mm nominal bore (NB / internal diameter), Pressure Rating PN 1.6 (working pressure rating 1.6 MPa ), non-rising stem/spindle type, conforming to IS 14846, in water supply mains, pump houses, valve chambers, or pipeline networks at all depths and elevations, executed in a comprehensive mechanical replacement installation comprising: carefully unbolting, dismantling, unfixing, and taking down the existing old unserviceable CI sluice valve, corroded nuts, bolts, and damaged jointing materials from the operational pipeline/chamber without damaging adjoining pipe flanges; sorting, clearing away, and depositing retrieved scrap materials to the departmental store/scrap yard; providing and installing the new sluice valve fabricated with a heavy-duty grey cast iron body, bonnet, wedge/gate, and stuffing box (Grade FG 200 conforming to IS 210), high-tensile extruded brass / stainless steel non-rising spindle/stem, leaded tin-bronze / gunmetal body and wedge seat rings (conforming to IS 318), cast iron handwheel with direction-of-closure arrows, gunmetal gland bush, and gland packing; aligning and jointing the valve flanges to matching companion pipe flanges using 3 mm thick heavy-duty cloth-inserted / wire-reinforced EPDM rubber gaskets (conforming to IS 638 Type B), high-tensile fully-threaded electro-galvanized / cadmium-plated mild steel machine bolts, matching heavy-duty hexagonal nuts, double check nuts, and flat/spring washers; tightening diagonally to uniform torque to achieve a leak-proof seal; providing necessary handling, hoisting, rigging, and staging; conducting hydrostatic body and seat pressure tests conforming to IS 14846 under operating conditions, testing smooth open-and-close valve travel, lubricating spindle threads, and leaving the entire valve assembly watertight and in perfect operating condition, complete all as specified.
(Note: Rates include dismantling and unfixing existing old sluice valves, handling, jointing gaskets, fully-threaded bolts, nuts, check nuts, washers, and hydrostatic testing. Masonry/RCC valve chambers, surface boxes, indicator plates, dismantling of chamber brickwork/slabs [if any], and tail-piece adapter flanges shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of Schedule 'A' .
