Up keeping of Ash Ponds and Maintenance of Green Belt during the year 2026-2028.

Maintaining the Ash pond including cutting and uprooting of wild vegetation/ plants/ shrubs, removal of rubbish etc., on top and side slopes of Bunds of ash pond 1 & 2, cutting of overgrown grass (above 2") and disposing the waste material at designated disposal point in Ash pond area with all leads & lifts with in a week after cutting and burning the same under controlled firing conditions including curbing of cattle movement during the operation with all tools and tackles etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: Frequency of operation is once in a month.

Providing all tools, tackles, men and materials for cleaning of toe drains in ash pond 1 & 2 including removal of deposits, wild vegetation, packing/ setting right any loose stones and disposing of silt upto a lead of 1.0 Km etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Excavating, supplying of local earth (including royalty) by mechanical transport upto a lead of 5km and filling in pits, cavities, rain cuts etc, on top and side slopes of the bund in layers not exceeding 150mm thick including breaking clods, spreading, leveling, watering, consolidation by ramming & making good the undulations etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: The measurement of earth transported shall be done in cubic meter on the basis of body measurement of the truck after deducting 20% towards voids.

Pruning of trees of average girth 30 cm to 60 cm (measured at a height of 1M above ground level) and upto a height of 5M or as directed including transportation and disposal of the pruned material to the burning point (location of disposal will be shown by the department i.e. with in the ash pond area) within a week after cutting and burning the same under controlled fire conditions including tools and tackles etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: For clearing growth along fencing and removing of obstructions along surveillance road.

Providing all tools, tackles, men and material for removing of Ant hills all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. (a) Dropping Aluminium oxide tablets in to the holes of the ant hills and covering the holes, (b) Complete removal of the ant hill up to the surface after allowable time and disposal of the earth inside the ash pond. (c) Filling up the course sand in the holes of Anthills completely filling the holes upto ground level etc. complete.

Supplying and spraying of chemical solution for Anti termite treatment using Chlorpyriphos 20%EC or Lindane 20%EC chemicals (Chemical solution: Diluting 1 litre of chemical with 19 litre of water) poking with rod in and around the Termite hill as per the standard practice etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: 2 lit chemical solution shall be sprayed on 1 sqm area.

Maintenance of greenbelt by regular surveillance including repairing the barbed wire fencing as and when required, curbing movement of cattle's, planting of saplings in scanty area of green belt including excavation of pits etc., as directed by the Engineer in Charge (saplings required for plantation in scanty areas will be arranged by the department on free of cost) including reporting any encroachment or unauthorized activities in green belt area to the departmental Engineer etc., complete by deploying manpower of two persons in two shifts (2x2 =4 persons) on daily basis Note: Incase the manpower deployed is less than above on any day, a penal recovery of Rs.566.00 per head per day will be levied apart from no payment for no work.

Surveillance of Ash Pond 1 & 2 by regular monitering at all bunds levels for curbing movement of cattle's, including reporting any encroachment, Rain cuts in bunds, Seepage in toe drains , Rise of water level in pond,continuity of syphon action in spillways and reporting same to the departmental staff on daily basis etc., complete by deploying manpower of one person in General shift for Ash pond 1 & 2 on daily basis Note: 1:One Round for each bund level should be completed by deploying one person in a working hours(9.00 AM to 5.00PM)and cover both ash ponds. 2:Incase the manpower deployed is less than above on any day, a penal recovery of Rs. 566.00 per head per day will be levied apart from no payment for no work
