Repair/ replacement and maintenance of Water Heaters (Solar/ Geysers), Ceiling/ Exhaust Fans etc and connected items at INS Valsura, Jamnagar

Notes applicable to all items of Schedule ‘A’ (BOQ) :- (i) Contractor shall check the equipments/ fittings/ fixtures etc as per the complaints given by the concerned JE E/M / Engineer-in-Charge. Contractor shall make arrangement for collection of complaint slip from MES service centre daily for carrying out the complaints & simultaneously intimate the JE E/M once the complaint is resolved. All complaints shall be resolved within 48 hours. (ii) In case contractor fails to resolve the complaint in 48 hours except where spare(s) is not readily available in the vicinity, a penalty of Rs. 100/- per day per complaint shall be deducted until the same is resolved. The decision of GE in this regard shall be final, conclusive & binding. (iii) If repair/maintenance of any equipment/ fitting/ fixture etc shall not be feasible at site/contractor’s store inside the cantt area and the same shall required to be taken outside the cantt area by the contractor, the same shall be taken outside of cantt area by the contractor only through proper Gate Pass duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down carefully ceiling fans/ exhaust fans from any height and of any make and sweep including disconnecting the cable from ceiling rose and servicing, greasing & oiling, replacing the split pin, unserviceable nut, bolt, etc. and refixing the same after servicing with necessary connection complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out carefully unserviceable shaft bush and S&F new shaft bush of existing type/ model for ceiling fans & exhaust fans complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out carefully unserviceable ball bearing of any type/ size and S&F new ball bearing suitable for any type/ size ceiling fans & exhaust fans as per the existing standard complete all as specified and as directed. Make - SKF / TATA / NCB or as used by OEM and approved by GE.

Taking out existing unserviceable fan condenser/ capacitor of any size/ make and S&F connecting new fan condenser/ capacitor 2.0 to 2.5 mfd (ISI marked) complete all as specified and as directed. Make - Kail / Crompton / Tibcon / Epcos or as used by OEM and approved by GE.

Taking out existing unserviceable fan condenser/ capacitor of any size/ make and S&F connecting new fan condenser/ capacitor 3.15/ 4.0 mfd (ISI marked) complete all as specified and as directed. Make - Kail / Crompton / Tibcon / Epcos or as used by OEM and approved by GE.

S&F in repair modular step type fan regulator 100 W, 2 module, AC, 230V, electronic complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Legrand Cat No. 6755 30 or equivalent in makes mentioned in Appendix 'B' here-in-after.

S&F in repair step type fan regulator, AC, 230V, electronic on the existing phenolic laminated sheet etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs step type fan regulator 100W, 1 module, AC, 230V, electronic complete all as specified and directed. Make: Legrand Cat No. 6755 31 or equivalent in makes mentioned in Appendix 'B' here-in-after.

S&F in repairs modular switch, single pole, one way, 6 Amp, 1 module with all accessories complete all as directed.

Taking out carefully damaged/ worn out rubber reel from ceiling fan rod and S&F new rubber reel of existing size & shape complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out carefully damaged/ worn out MS clamp and S&F new MS clamp with necessary nuts, bolts, washers, locking pins etc of existing size & shape complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling 1200mm sweep ceiling fan motor of any make, removing old burnt winding wire, cleaning the armature thoroughly and replacing the same with new enamelled copper wire of adequate size/gauge including class B insulation, varnishing, heating etc, reassembling, testing, refixing and connecting complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Item No. 12 here-in-above, but for 1400 mm sweep ceiling fan motor.

Supply, installation & testing electric Geyser (electric water heater storage type) of capacity 25 litre, vertical mounting type, glass lined inner tank, PUF insulation, rust proof outer body, 2 KW heating element, suitable for 230V Single Phase 50 Hz AC supply, BEE 5 Star rating, Rated Pressure 0.8 Mpa, with & including manual knob adjustable Thermostat with thermal cut off, heating indicator, Multi-function Safety Valve, including pasting of DO’s & Don’ts instructions printed on self adhesive plastic coated paper on outer body, fixed all as per manufacturer’s instructions, fixed with & including ‘Anchor’ type /fastener type bolts & nuts (Set of 4 bolts of 10mm dia 150mm long with nuts & washers) into the wall grouted properly to hold the geyser and making good the disturbed surface in CM (1:3), including taking down existing water heater complete and depositing to MES store yard, complete all as specified & as directed. S&F DO's/Don't instructions for Electric geysers as per E-in-C's branch letter instructions, printed on self adhesive plastic coated paper and shall be pasted on existing electric geysers complete all as directed.

Taking down geyser of any capacity, horizontal/ vertical type after properly disconnecting from water supply lines i.e. inlet/outlet and electric supply connections and re-connecting/ refixing the same in original position after necessary repairing work complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Repair works and Spare parts shall be measured and paid for separately.

S&F in repairs 3 core, 1 sqmm PVC insulated sheathed multistranded flexible copper conductor cable (ISI marked) 1100 Volts grade for fans etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs 3 core, 2.5 sqmm PVC insulated sheathed multistranded flexible copper conductor cable (ISI marked) 1100 Volts grade for geyser complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Mild steel angle Cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel sections including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot, drilling holes for bolts, in any shape or size as indicated or directed complete conforming to Grade E-165 (Fe 290) and inclusive of one primer coat, one aluminium under coat and one aluminium finishing coat of paint complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) Size, section and shape of MS members shall be as directed. (ii) Quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of painting. Weight of paint shall not be considered for payment purpose and quoted rate shall deemed to be included this aspect.

M&L glass wool in 40-80 mm thick sheet yellow/ white colour, suitable for insulation of water heaters complete all as specified.

M&L for GI tubing 15 mm bore medium grade duly drilled with two Nos of M8/M10 bolts of required length for hanging of ceiling fans complete all as specified.

S&F in repair canopy for ceiling fan as required at site as per size/ sample and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Cutting, opening through RR masonry/ brick walls for fixing exhaust fan of required size (Square/ Round) up to 450mm sweep and making good disturbed surfaces of wall of required size with CM 1:4 and painting with two coats of existing colour to match the wall complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs fan hook (D-hook hanger) heavy duty with M10 X 75mm fastener fix in existing ceiling as per direction and site requirement.

S&F in repair hose pipe suitable for hot water heater temp 70º C of solar water heater of required 20mm size and as per required length at site.

Disconnecting the Pressure/ Booster pump set, 1.5 HP (1.1 kW), 3-8 bar pressure rating, separating from suction, delivery pipeline, electrical connection etc. installed on G+2 floor building terrace, dismantling the same including transporting to workshop for servicing and overhauling, oiling, greasing and replacing worn out parts like bearing, turning and shafting, air refilling with leakage rectification and pressure testing in Air tank and refixing on the same location & testing complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Unit rate quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to include for minor spares/extras. The decision of Accepting officer regarding minor spares/extras shall be final, conclusive and binding. (ii) All T&P & transportation shall be arranged by contractor and rates for the same shall deemed to be included in rate quoted.

M&L for servicing of solar water heater system 200/ 300 LPD solar flat plate collector with additional 100 litre water tank installed at building terrace, cleaning by chemical & dust/ rust particles removed from tank, descaling, etc with requisite T&P as per OEM’s instructions by solar water heater authorised service personal with 24 hrs testing complete all as per requirement and as directed.

M&L for servicing of solar water heater system 200/ 300 LPD solar flat plate collector installed at building terrace, cleaning by chemical & dust/ rust particles removed from tank, descaling, etc with requisite T&P as per OEM’s instructions by solar water heater authorised service personal with 24 hrs testing complete all as per requirement and as directed.

S&F in repair PCB circuit of BLDC ceiling fan 1200mm Sweep with remote of ‘Bajaj Model No. ENERGOS 26’ or similar fan of other make/ model and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed.
