Surface excavation soft/loose soil not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out complete all as specified and directed

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m deep in soft/loose soil for laying and taking out water pipe lines, including getting out excavated material, dressing and levelling bottom surface to the required level and slope, complete all as specified and directed. Note: 1. During excavation, if any footpath, PCC, plinth protection, valve chamber, road, drain or other existing structure is damaged, the same shall be made good and restored by the contractor to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. The quantity of such rectification/restoration work shall be measured and paid separately under the relevant items of work. 2.Wherever mechanical excavation is not feasible or is prohibited due to site conditions, proximity to existing utilities, structures, or safety considerations, the contractor shall carry out manual excavation only, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. 3. The contractor shall use suitable utility locating and detection tools (for water lines, electrical cables and other underground services) before and during excavation. Any damage caused to existing electrical infrastructure, cables, ducts, water supply lines or allied services during excavation shall be repaired and restored to its original condition by the contractor at his own cost. In case the repair/restoration is not completed within 24 hours from the time of damage, a penalty of ₹2,000 per day shall be recovered from the contract amount for each day of delay.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick with excavated soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metres and depositing the same where directed, at a level not exceeding 1.5 metres above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up or lowering CI water mains of 150/100/80 mm dia bore, including all fittings, with spigot and socket ends and lead joints, including burning out of joints and recovering lead, complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying and laying in trenches centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes of 150 mm dia for water supply, with spigot and socket ends, Class ‘K-9’, conforming to IS: 8329:2000 (latest version), suitable for push-on rubber gasket jointing, with internal cement mortar lining using Portland Slag Cement conforming to IS: 455:1989 and external metallic zinc coating as per Annex ‘A’ of IS: 8329, finished with a layer of bituminous coating as per Annex ‘C’, duly ISI marked, in any standard length, including testing and commissioning, complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying and laying in trenches centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes of 100 mm dia for water supply, with spigot and socket ends, Class ‘K-9’, conforming to IS: 8329:2000 (latest version), suitable for push-on rubber gasket jointing, with internal cement mortar lining using Portland Slag Cement conforming to IS: 455:1989 and external metallic zinc coating as per Annex ‘A’ of IS: 8329, finished with a layer of bituminous coating as per Annex ‘C’, duly ISI marked, in any standard length, including testing and commissioning, complete all as specified and directed.
