Carrying out detailed and precise checking of all nuts and bolts,spring and plain washers provided at all the joints/junctions of Base-assembly,vertical leg members,face bracing members,various members of working platforms at different levels,antenna fixture assembly,lightning arrester, aviation light,earth resistance, ladder with safety cage,wave guide rack and all other fixtures etc., proper tighteningof all the nuts with torque- wrenches of required size etc.complete including providing new hot galvanised nuts,bolts,spring washers and plain washers etc. of various sizes for fixing where found missing/required.The item also includes providing and applying rust-removing solution or cutting the nuts/bolts etc.The item also includes dismantling/dismembering of any deformed/bent/deshaped member/s which are required to be replaced or repaired.(The payment for supplying hot dipped galvanised nuts,spring washers and plain washers, necessary parts of lightening arrestor and aviation light, earth resistance required to make the part functional shall be made separately under relevant item.)

(b) Painting with High Gloss synthetic enamel paint of approved brand with two or more coats of required shade as per aviation requirements etc all complete as per the direction of Engineer-In_Charge.(The agency shall arrange for all the material ,labour, T &P etc. required for the work.

(i) 40m height GBT tower

Providing hot dipped galvanised nuts,bolts,spring washers and plain washers of required size and length for fixing the same at the joints/junctions of tower wherever found required during maintenance of tower.(The materials for nuts,bolts shall be of grade 4.6 and as per 6639-1972,IS :1364(Part I to V)-2002,IS:1367(Part VIII)-1992,plain washers as per IS:6610-1972 and spring washers of Type-B as per IS:3063-1994,IS:1148-1982,IS:2015-1977).

Supplying & Fixing of hot-dipped galvanised steel members for tower to fix the same wherever found missing or replace any damaged/bent tower members (The material to be used for tower -member shall be galvanised M.S. of grade 'A' as per IS:2062-1999 & IS:808-1989 and satisfy the relevant tests as per IS codes.The fabrication shall be done in accordance with IS:800-1984 and also in accordance with the approved drawings for the tower under maintenance.The galvanising shall conform to IS:4759 & 2629.The total mass of galvanising coating shall not be less than 610 gms/sqm.i.e. 85 microns thickness.)ramming and watering, lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Replacing the Lightening arrester including defective/missing parts as necessary. (Checking of lightening arrestor will be done under item No. 1 above)

(a) Providing and fixing single spike solid copper Lightening arrester of 650mm length,12mm dia with necessary threads and brass nut at the bottom end of the rod.

(b) Replacing defective tin coated copper wire of gauge 7/20 and fixing the same from lower end of the lightening arrester to the hole provided 0.5 metre below the top of the tower by 10 mm dia brass nut bolts & washers etc.complete including providing and fixing lugs of suitable size at both ends of the wire.

Credit for rusted/deformed nuts/bolts and other members of the tower

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level :

(a)1:1½:3 (1 Cement: 1½ coarse sand(zone-III) derived from natural sources : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources).
