Selection of consultancy firm to the Directorate General of Shipping, Union Ministry of Shipping and Waterways, Government of India for conducting feasibility study for setting up of an Indian Protection and Indemnity Insurance Entity

Team Leader - 01 person ( Should be a Maritime insurance professional with an engineering degree or its equivalent in naval architecture / mechanical / electrical and or MBA and or CA , with no less than 30 years of experience, and should possess thorough and in depth knowledge of P&I frame work with a strong back ground and experience in Policy Drafting, Average Adjusting Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication of marine insurance claims. A person with below credential will be given a higher weightage 1. Maritime operation risk management experience including the Technical , Commercial , Contractual and Legal aspects of Salvage / Towage / Wreck removal and pollution claims 2. Associated with at least 2 are more recognised university / Maritime institute as a faculty member. By 3. Fellow / Member / Associate member of any Maritime Institute(s) and or recognised reputed national and or international bodies.)

Team Member - 01 person Should be a Post Graduate , with no less than 20 yrs of experience in Public Sector Undertaking General Insurance Companies combined , and or any international reputed Marine insurance Underwriting Firms combined ,with sizable experience in Marine Underwriting and claims handling and with a Fellowship from Insurance Institute of India and or Diploma in Marine Insurance from Insurance Institute of India and or Diploma/Advance Diploma from Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) A person with below credential will be given a higher weightage 1. Research and publications in the field of Marine Insurance 2. Fellow / Member / Associate member of any Maritime Institute(s) and or recognised reputed national and or international bodies 3. Teaching Experience present or Past )

Team Member - 01 person (Should be a Master Mariner (Foreign Going ) , with no less than 20 years of combined sea and shore experience and should has worked at Ship Owners and Commercial Operators offices in leadership roles ,handling P& I matters , club entry requirements , claim handling including arbitrations A person with below credential will be given a higher weightage 1. Under writing experience 2. Teaching Experience present or Past 3. Fellow / Member / Associate member of any Maritime Institute(s) and or recognised reputed national and or international bodies)
