Sch-C(Deep Screening of Track, Point & Crossings, Derailing Switch, welding of Rail joints, reconditionig of CMS X-ing and Tangue Rails of Point & Crossing etc.)-2nd Year
Carrying out Deep Screening of Track, Point & Crossing, derailing Switch, Welding of Rail Joints,Reconditioning of CMS X-ing and tongue Rails of Point & Crossing, etc on existing track as per detailed below:-
Excavation of earth, overburden, etc. from the T-out and screening of ballast for 1 in 8½ Derailing switch in running track upto a depth of 200 mm below bottom of sleeper through seive of specified size. This includes opening of ballst, digging down for the following depth below the bottom of sleepers, taking out caked ballast and muck etc, from the entire section, putting back of cleaned ballast as per required ballast profile, throwing away screened muck, overburden etc at a distance of 50m as per direction of Engineer-in-charge, grading the bed to the edge of the formation for effective drainage and including initial packing of sleepers.
Welding of rail joints of 60 kg by SKV Process from single rail to 3-rail panel using Single Shot Crucible with contractors supply PORTION purchased from RDSO farm (to be supplied with authenticate certificate), dry moulds including other welding materials , supplying skilled/artisan staff like welder, moulder, chipper, lutter, aligner, striker/hammerman & adequate nos. of semi-skilled and un- skilled labour and supplying petrol, as required for facilitating welding works on track by shifting the joint sleepers upto 30 cm on either side, providing suitable gap of about 23 mm to 25 mm for welding, fixing the petrol tanks & heating the rail ends by approved contractor's equipment and chipping the exess materials if required, aligning, levelling etc. complete including filing after welding on cess . The work is to be carried out as per Alumino Thermic Welding Manual for Single Shot Crucible Process and as per RDSO Specification. The rate should also be inclusive of pulling back of rails for providing required gap at rail joint for Thermit welding.
Carrying out USFD testing of Alumino Thermic (AT) welds on all types of rails, using 0º (2 MHz) double crystal; 70º (2 MHz) 20mm x 20mm single crystal probe for head & flange testing; 2 nos. 45º (2 MHz) single crystal with tandom rig for testing from rail top to bottom & for half moon testing and 70º (2 MHz) 20mm x 20mm side looking probe by NBC (Need Based Concept) method under traffic conditions as per provisions of IR’s "Manual & Specifications for Ultrasonic Testing of Rails and Welds" & related instructions duly marking the defects, submission of daily reports and storing back-up data as specified & directed. The rates are inclusive of contractor’s men, materials & machines complete unless otherwise specified and directed :Track having up to 3 rail panels - With Contractor’s USFD machine :
Replacement of sleepers in track with sleepers lying on cess for casual renewal at isolated locations with all fittings complete to specified gauge & cross level with contractor’s tools including packing and dressing of ballast, as directed by Engineer in-charge. Released materials shall be neatly stacked and handed over. BG Track (PSC to PSC sleepers)
Removing rail of all types & length from track, laid on any type & density of sleeper by removing fish plates, fastenings & fish bolts and other materials alongwith keeping released rail and all materials safely on cess, as directed by Engineer in-charge. (cutting & drilling of rail shall be paid separately and work to be done under traffic block & SECL’s supervision)
Pulling & positioning of rails accurately on cess including supporting rails, providing required gap and squaring at ends for renewal preparation, as directed by Engineer in-charge. Upto 40 m long rail panel
