Excavation in foundation, trenches (for pipes & pits) up to all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including blasting soft/hard rock or chiseling soft/hard rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts including trimming & dressing of sides, levelling of beds to correct grade i/c shoring/ strutting, planking, timbering wherever required, stacking the useable or unuseable material/ soil separately & after excavated soil clear from the edge of excavation returning the excavated soil after laying, jointing, testing of pipes in trenches in 15 Cm layers including consolidating of each deposited layer by ramming, watering & then disposing of all surplus excavated soil/unusable material as directed with in all leads & lifts including restoration of unmetalled surfaces to its original condition & including cost of diversion for traffic,night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respect with in all leads & lifts as per the entire satisfaction & directions of Engineer- in- Charge.

Laying, Jointing, testing and carriage (by way of Circumfrential butt welded joints by electrical arc welding) in trenches to be leveled to grades, IS marked GI pipes (Medium Grade) of following diameters conforming to IS 1239-1991 (Part I) (latest with up to date amendments) having wall thickness as specified below with bevelled ends and capable of withstanding required test pressure in a random length of 4 to 7 meters, including manufacturing reducers/ tapers, all short pieces, bends etc. as per site requirement made from parent tubes. The laying of pipe will include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete to the best satisfaction of Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per relevant IS standards. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing complete in all respects with in all leads & lifts as per directions and entire satisfaction of the Engineer in Charge. (Earth work to be measured and paid for separately).
