Rising Main laying, jointing and testing in trenches (to level or grade) of galvanised mild steel pipes jointed with 10% joint flanged & remaining butt weld 90% joints of below diametre conforming to IS 1239-1990 (Part - I ) with latest upto date amendments of grade and wall thickness as specified below, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in randum length 4m-6m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS 6392-1971(Latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS 814-1991 including required number and size of MS nuts and bolts as per IS 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3.00 mm in thickness as per IS 2712-1998. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers to make the joints leak proof and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.The laying of pipes conform to IS 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as cutting, welding and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect. Pumping Machinery:- Supply & errection of submersible pumping set of KSB /Calama /SU/ Johnston / Kiloskar make comprising to latest relevant BIS Code. The pump should be fitted with bronze impeller of suitable alloys as per IS: 8034-1976 latest suitable for Clear water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side and with soft protection sleeve on pump side ensuring better life for shaft coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electric induction motor (water proof type) of required HP, RPM 2900 of reputed make conforming to IS: 9283-1979 latest with upto date amendments, totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and grease packed lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimum wear and tear. It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor. The pump set should include water level guards, erection clamps , cable clips and depth gauge etc. and suitable for operation on data given below:- 2.00 No's pumping sets (Submersible type) i.e 2 x 5 =10HP

Providing and fixing double flanged piping work layout to be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge for suction and delivery pipes suitable to pump(s) offered and common header as per the rising main respectively complete with all specials such as bends ,tees reducers/ increasers with companion flanges matching with the relevant specifications of the accessories including rubber/asbestos gasket of minimum 3mm thickness as per IS 2712-1979 and required number of nuts and volts as per IS: 1364-1983. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS Code and to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.91. 1.00 Job
The size of the various components to be as under:-
(i) Suction pipe 125 mm dia Min. length = 10 mtr.
(ii) Delivery pipe 100 mm dia -do- = 6 mtr.
(iii) Common Header 100 mm dia -do- = 6 mtr. and will extend up to 5 meters from the outer wall of the pump house in the direction to be jointed.
Providing and laying copper PVC insulated armoured power cable ( one cable carrying all the three phases) of suitable size and capacity to and all other electrical equipments as per IS: 1554 (P-I)1988 or latest with upto date amendments of L&T/Finolex make including all other accessories such as thimbles, flexible, pipes solder, nuts and bolts, cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor.
(i) Motor side: 10 mm2 Min length = 20 mtrs.
(ii) Supply side: 16 mm2 Min. length = 10 mtrs.
Providing and fixing double loop earthing and G.I. plate 600 mm x 600mm x 3mm thick electrode complete with material such as thimbles, nuts and bolts, charcoal and common salt, 25 mm x 5 mm G.I. strips & G.I. wire of 4 SWG as per IS: 3043 -1987 with up to date amendments for motors and other electrical equipments and digging of pits etc. complete in all respect.
