Earthwork, Structure work and lining work
Excavation in canal/ foundation of structures by manual/ mechanical means in all kinds of soil (This shall include ordinary soil, hard soil, gravelly soil, slushy soil, stoney earth mixed with gravels, pebbles, stoneboulders not exceeding 0.5 cum by volume, stiff heavy clay, hard shale, compacted moorum soling of road path, sand silt etc.) in both wet and dry condition, shoring, shuttering, propping bullahs, piling, dewatering wherever necessary, providing coffer dam, diverting the water away from working areas, dressing, levelling the canal bed and sides as per drawing and specifications and removing the excavated materials with all leads, lifts and delifts etc. and depositing the same in layers not exceeding 22.50cm (9") in depth in the embankment sections under OMC condition to receive compaction after breaking clods to maximum 5cm to 7cm size and depositing the excess/un-usable materials in spoil banks or any other specified space by mechanical/manual means with all leads, lifts and delifts complete with all costs for site illumination, mobilisation, demobilisation, approach road, diversion road, coffer dam and cess, T&P. etc. complete including all costs incidental to the work as per specification and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (Payment will be made on finished level section)

Excavation in all kinds of soil including moorum, stoney earth, gravel etc. excepting all kinds of rock and boulders exceeding 0.014 cum in volume for cut-off trenches out-fall drains,filter drains, etc. and for base stripping of seat of embankments in heavy banking section by manual/ mechanical means including dressing and levelling the bed and laying the excavated earth in layers not exceeding 0.225m in depth including breaking clods complete or removing the excavated earth away from the work site including all leads,lifts, cess, T & P etc. and all cost incidental to the work and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Payment will be made on finished level section)
