NOTES : (i). The contractor shall quotes the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech. Patiala/ NIT Kurukshetra/ PEC Changigarh/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii). Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iii). After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iv). The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/road roller i.e. vidrating roller,static roller,hydraulic roller/paver) to be incorporated in the wk should not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. (v). The certificate wrt the capactiy of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimlated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.
