8. For electrical lighting work prevailing SOR of Electrical work of R&B of GOG is

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 6.00mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 m below the normal ground level) connected to galvanised iron strip 25 x 4mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel as shown in elelctrical plalte No 3 including charcoal dust, commen salt, 20mm bore GI medium grade watering pipe, 40mm dia GI light grade protection pipe with funel and wire mesh, PCC Pit in 1:2:4 type B 1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate with angle iron 40x40x5mm frame, RCC pit cover of suitable size complete all as specified and directed by engineer encharge and testing for required value complete. Note :- (i) Item include the cost of earth lead and GI protection pipe upto 7.5 mtr length. (ii) On completion of Earthing Contractor should check Earthing Results and submit the Test Report to Engr-in-charge. If desired results are not obtained then Earthing shall be redone by the contractor at his own cost.

Material and Labour for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground( earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level, connected to galvanized steel earth lead 4mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel, all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Pt I including necessary excavation and earth work PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 with 50 mm thick pre cast RCC ( 1:2:4) type B-1 cover slab framed with 50X30X4 mm MS angle (reinforced with 6 mm dia deformed bar @ 15 cm C/C both ways and suitable handle of 8 mm dia round bar) including providing charcoal or coke and magnesium sulphate in alternate layers of 15 cm compacted thickness all around the earth electrode, with funnel and 20 mm bore galvanized iron watering pipe (medium grade) wire mesh and necessary testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Reconditioning of high resistance earthing by watering in the earth pit through watering pipe mixed with common salt minimum 10 Kg for each earthing pit to improve the resistance and filled/dropped in earthing through de-watering pipe as per site condtion,de-watering pipe to be clean by means of appropriate size rod/steel wire all as directed. Note:- The water for this purpose shall be supplied by the deptt at the nearest available source but contractor shall make his own arrangement for drawing water from approved source.

M&L in replacement for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mmx 600mm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5mtr below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, electrode connections using earth lead wire 4.0mm connected by means of bolts ,nuts ,check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel and thimbles and other end of the earth wire connected to main switch board and protected by galvanized steel pipe 40mm bore (medium grade) connected to test point all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR - 2009 (Part-I) and including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20mm bore medium grade GI pipe for watering, funnel with wire mesh, PCC (1:3:6), type C-1 chamber shall be constructed 500mm away from the edge of earth pit, pit cover of precast RCC (1:1½:3), type B-1, 80mm thick reinforced XPM of weight not less than 4 Kg/ Sqm. complete & connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including brazing/ testing on completion complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) The unit rate includes galvanised Iron strip and protection pipe upto (maximum 7.5 metre from earth plate) earth point/ test point. (ii) Old earthing may have been burried down to a depth of exceeding 2.25m below ground level. No extra payment will be made if excavation is done beyond 2.25m depth to retrieve the old earthing.
