N.B. i) Manufacturer’s test certificate for HDPE pipe & specials to be produced before laying of pipe line. ii) 3rd party inspection of HDPE pipe & specials to be done by CEPET or (India) SGS/NTH Kolkata or as per direction of EIC as per approved vender list. iii) No part payment at any stage on account of supply of materials shall be entertained. iv) Payment will be made on actual consumption of materials. v) UPVC pipes for the works to be supplied as per approved vendor list and as per direction & satisfaction of EIC. No pipes will be allowed beyond recommendated vendor list. vi) Submission of drawing of pipe line with statement of materials consumed between node to node points against each R.A. & final bill.if so. vii) Any deviation from required clear cover of 1.10mtr.due to site adverse condition, prior permission is to be obtained from EIC and payment for such work will be made on prorate basis over the rate of entire item. viii) All pipe connection shall be completed in all respect and as per directionof EIC. Decision of EIC in this respect is final & binding. In case of any deviation/or any left out pipe connections an amount of Rs.10,000.00 for each pipe connection will be realized/recovered from the bill. ix) No payment will be made without hydraulic test of the pipe line either part or full. Pressure Rating : PN 6: Laying of pipe line including cost of pipe & fittings/specials but excluding cost of valves.
SH_ Laying Jointing Testing and Commissioning of HDPE and GI Pipe of various dia Class and Grades in distribution network including of field outlet assemblies in 1st call
Laying, jointing, testing and commissioning at site in trenches ( to level or grade) G.I. pipes of following dia. Heavy/Medium Class confirming to IS-1239 ( Part-1)( latest up to date amendments) of grade and wall thickness as specified below suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure as per BIS code in random length of 4m to 6m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS-6392-1971 ( latest up to date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS-816-1969 with electrodes as per IS-814-1991 including required no. and size of MS nut and bolts as per IS-1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fiber jointing gaskets sheets not less than 3mm in thickness as per IS-2712-1998 and butt welded joints. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face and one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipes should be confirmed to IS-5822-1994 ( with latest up to date amendments) and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operation such as cutting, welding DP tests of butt welded joints , making pipe bevelled for butt welding , fabrication of bends, tees, specials reducers etc. and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of engineer-in-charge including entire carriage of materials up to all leads and lifts. (Earthwork in trenches, MS Flanges and butt welded joints to be measured and paid for separately)
