LAYING OF 3C 33KV UE HT CABLE FROM SWITH YARD-01 TO 02AND ASSOCIATED WORKS

1. Laying of 33 KV grade UE, 3Cx 185 sq mm HT cable on cable tray and inside cable trench: Laying of 33 KV grade UE, 3Cx 185 sq mm HT cable in trench, tray, on structure with proper dressing & clamping with MS Flat clamps as directed by Engineer in charge. Cable shall be handled by the experienced group to ensure no damage to cable. Cable shall be tagged with name/numbers at both ends. The tag shall be of Aluminum with the number punched on it and securely attached to the cable conduit by not less than two turns of GI wire. Cable tags shall be of rectangular shape. GI/ Cadmium coated nut bolts shall be used for clamping. Free Issue Materials: 33 KV grade (UE), 3Cx 185 sq. mm HT cable. MS Flat for clamping. 2. Laying of 33 KV grade UE, 3Cx 185 sq mm HT cable underground for loop: Laying of 33 KV grade UE, 3Cx 185 sq mm HT cable underground for loop by excavating soil up to 0.8 meter depth trench, covering bottom portion of trench with sand / crusher dust, laying of 33 KV HT cable, sand / crusher dust filling on top of the cable. Boxing the cable with bricks, back filling the soil as directed by Engineer in charge. Cable shall be handled by the experienced group to ensure no damage to cable. Free Issue Materials: 33 KV grade (UE), 3Cx 185 sq. mm HT cable.

3. SURFACE CABLE TRENCH FOR HT CABLE LAYING : Making a surface cable trench for laying HT cables by earth work excavation - 1.0 meter (w)* 1.0 meter (d) . Disposal of excavated earth with in 50 meter lead. Straightening, cutting, bending, and placing in position, binding in position , 12 mm mild steel reinforcement , 150 mm c/c. Fixing in position centering and shuttering , RCC work (1:2:4) at bottom and 2 sides of trench, 200 mm. Covering of cable trench with RCC slabs of 1meter length, 0.9 meter width & 0.2 meter thickness using 12 mm mild steel reinforcement, 150 mm c/c, with suitable handles for handling. Work Including all labor, materials, shuttering, mild steel straightening, cutting, bending, and placing in position, binding in position, including binding wire etc. Complete. After completion of work water curing shall be done for minimum 6 days. Free Issue Materials: only mild Steel for RCC work.

4. Foundation work cable structure: Making cable pole structure foundation for laying 33 kv HT cables by earth work excavation - 1.0 meter (l)*1.0 meter (w)* 1.0 meter (d). Disposal of excavated earth with in 50 meter lead. RCC work (1:2:4) footing - 0.9 meter (l)*0.9 meter (w)* 0.2 meter (d) , steel reinforcement using 10 mm mild steel bars, single jail @ 200 mm C/C . RCC work (1:2:4) pole foundation - 0.7 meter (l)*0.7 meter (w)* 0.5 meter (d) , steel reinforcement using 10 mm mild steel bars - 8 no’s vertical , rings @ 200 mm C/C . Pole cooping using PCC (1:2:4) - 0.6 meter (l)*0.6 meter (w)* 0.3 meter (H). Including all labor, materials, shuttering, mild steel Straightening, cutting, bending, and placing in position, binding in position, including binding wire etc. Complete. After completion of work water curing shall be done for minimum 6 days. Free Issue Materials: only Steel for RCC work.

5. STEEL FABRICATION WORK: Steel Fabrication work of MS angle / MS flat /C-Channel/ MS plate/ISMC 150X75MM, by welding, gas cutting including hoisting, fixing in position for different works as mentioned above. After fabrication, it is to be cleaned properly with emery and brush and there after apply one coat of red oxide primer followed by two coats synthetic enamel paint of good quality – BERGER/ASIAN / JOHNSON as Per Instruction of Engineer-in-Charge. Welding machine, gas cutting set, grinding & cutting machine, welding electrodes, tools & tackles, consumables, paints, primer etc. Required for the job is in contractor’s scope. Free Issue Materials: Only Steel for fabrication.

6. EARTH FLAT (75X8 mm) LAYING: Laying of hot dip galvanized earth flat of size 75x8 mm and required GI nuts and bolts for connecting from existing earth to new HT panels. The GI flat shall be laid to connect earth pits with cable structure and earth pit with proper finishing as required as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. All materials required for the work is in Contractor Scope .Welding portion is to be painted with black paint. The job Includes all labor& material complete. Free Issue Materials: GI earth flat.

7.Supply & installation of end termination (outdoor ) and straight thru jointing kits cold shrink for 33 KV (UE) Cable:

7.1 Supply of end termination kits (outdoor door type) suitable for cable size of 33kv (UE) - 3C X 185 Sq. mm. Making of end termination, connection by proper clamping for the cable. Cable earth strip shall be connected to earth . Make of kits: 3M / M- seal / Raychem Free issue Material – Nil

7.2 Supply of Straight through jointing kit (outdoor door type) suitable for cable size of 33kv (UE) - 3C X 185 Sq. mm. Making straight through jointing , connection by proper clamping for the cable. Make of kits: 3M / M- seal / Raychem. Free issue Material – Nil

8. EARTH PITS: Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of GI earth electrode, heavy duty of size 65mm dia. and 3000mm long as per IS-3043, including required excavation of soil up to depth 3mtr. Supply & providing charcoal (100 kg) & salt (100kg) to earth pit in layers and watering the system after completion of work. Construction of earth pits chamber with brick (Inner dimension 400X400MM, Height 300MM and thickness 250MM) with pre cast RCC chamber cover (500X500X 100 MM approximately) with lifting hook. Fixing of required quantity stainless steel nuts, bolts and connecting the earth flat with earth pit, as per as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Welding portion is to be painted with black paint. Including all labor& materials and disposal of unwanted material generated is on party scope. Free Issue Materials: NIL

9.HIPOT TEST OF 3C*185 SQ MM (UE) HT CABLE : Conducting Hipot test of the 3C*185 SQ MM (UE) HT cable and prepare a test report . Removal of old cable between Switch yard -01 and 02 and termination of new cable and commissioning of the new HT cable. Free Issue Materials: NIL

10.CEA Approval: Preparation of electrical drawings, test reports & submission of online application to CEA, Chennai to seek approval for the installation and charging of the cable.
