INSTRUCTIONS TO SHIPYARDS
(A) SHIPYARD TO QUOTE FOR ALL SERIALS. BULK/LUMPSUM COSTING IS NOT ALLOWED. ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE ON ACTUALS ON NOT EXCEEDING BASIS. (B) ALL SPARES ARE TO BE SOURCED THROUGH OEM AND OEM SUPERVISION IS TO BE ENSURED FOR ROUTINE/REPAIRS OF ALL EQUIPMENT. ( C ) IF SHIP REFIT AT SHIPYARD CONTINUES BEYOND 120 DAYS FOR ANY REASON INCLUDING FORCE MAJEURE, ALL ADMIN/GENERAL SERVICES ARE TO BE EXTENDED WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COST.
SHIPYARD IS REPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE VESSEL AND THE VESSEL'S PROPERTY FROM INCLEMENT AND ADVERSE WEATHER, FOR SAFETY AND SECURITY OF ALL ITEMS/ MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT THAT IS DEGUTTED/REMOVED FROM ONBOARD THE SHIP AND THE SAME ITEM IS TO BE FITTED ONBOARD. SHIPYARD IS TO ESTABLISH A SECURITY PERIMETER AROUND THE VESSEL WITH 2 SENTRIES ROUND THE CLOCK. SHIPYARD EXECUTIVES/STAFF/WORKERS/CONTRACTORS SHALL STRICTLY ABIDE BY ALL NAVAL PROCEDURES / INSTRUCTIONS INTIMATED VERBALLY OR IN WRITING BY SHIP'S OFFICERS AND PROJECT MONITORING OFFICERS. ALL SHIPYARD WORKERS /CONTRACTORS /STAFF ENTERING ONBOARD FOR WORK SHALL BE IN POSSESSION OF VALID ID CARDS AND SHALL SHOW THE SAME WHILE ENTERING/LEAVING OR AS DIRECTED. THE PASSES FOR OFFICERS, PMT AND SAILORS (INCLUDING CAR & BIKE) TO BE ISSUED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE ARRIVAL OF THE VESSEL WITH VALIDITY TILL COMPLETEION OF REFIT. THE ENTRY/ EXIT TO SHIP YARD WILL CONTINUE EVEN IN ABSENCE OF SHIP YARD PASSES. CABLE TRAYS OF VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON WEATHER DECK INCLUDING QUARTER DECK ARE IN DETERIORATED CONDITION. TO BE REPLACED (APPROX 100 M AS PER SAMPLE)
FOLLOWING DEFECTS PERSIST IN HELO DECK LIGHTING (A) REWIRING 35 DEGREE LIGHT FROM CONTROL PANEL TO LIGHT FITTING (APPROX 6X20 MTR EACH LIGHT) VIEW CABLE PERISHED.
(B) OVERHAULING OF CONTROL PANEL VIEW CONNECTOR PERISHED, TRANSFORMER BURN OUT FREQUENTLY.
(C) PERIPHERY LIGHT GLASS COVER BROKEN (QTY-10), LIGHT HOLDER PERISHED TO BE REPLACED
(D) CALIBRATION OF GPI
FREQUENT FAILURE OF 50 NOS AEL'S OBSERVED IN VARIOUS PLACES. FREQUENT FAILURE OF CHARGING PCB AND BATTERIES OBSERVED. 50 BATTERIES & PCBS TO BE REPLACED
OVERHAUL OF 30 PDB/ LDB/ SDB TO BE UNDERTAKEN. ADDITIONALLY, FOLLOWING DEFECTS TO BE RECTIFIED:
(I) MCB, INDICATION LAMP AND TERMINALS DETERIORATED IN PDB/LDB/SDB. MCBS TO BE REPLACED (QTY - 20 EACH).
(II) CONTROL WIRING PERISHED, TO BE REPLACED (APPROX 200 MTRS)
SHORE SUPPLY BREAKER NON OPERATIONAL AT QUARTERDECK SS JUNCTION BOX. HANDLE OF SS BREAKER IS BROKEN. SAME TO BE REPLACED
PACKAGE FOR GENERAL ELECTRIC HYGIENE:- (I) SECURING OF CABLES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITH CABLE TIE, CLAMP ARRANGEMENTS IN CABLE TRAYS. APPROXIMATELY -150 LOCATIONS,
(II) REPLACEMENT OF EARTHLING STRAPS, GROUNDING CABLE OF EQUIPMENT - 200 MTRS (APPROX).
(III) REPLACEMENT OF CABLE CONDUITS ON WEATHER DECK WITH METAL CONDUITS OF VARYING SIZES (2INCH AND 4 INCH) APPROXIMATELY 75 MTRS FOR EACH TYPE. END OPENING OF CONDUITS TO BE SEALED WITH SUITABLE SILICA SEALANT.
(V) DOOR SWITCHES (QTY 25) TO BE REPLACED AS PER SAMPLE.
(VI) RENEWAL OF 20 WEATHER DECK CABLE GLANDS
(VI) APPLICATION/ RENEWAL OF SEALANT IN 30 CABLE GLANDS IN WEATHER DECK AS PER REQUIREMENT.
(I) 80 LED FLAT LIGHTS AND 20 PENDENT LIGHTS DEFECTIVE/BLINK IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS (QTY-100). SAME TO BE REPLACED. (II) 50 MACHINERY LIGHT FITTINGS DEFECTIVE. SAME TO BE REPLACED.
FLASH PROVE LIGHT DEFECTIVE IN MAGAZINE/AVCAT/VARIOUS LOCATIONS (QTY- 20NOS). SAME TO BE REPLACED
10 NOS CEREMONIAL SOCKETS ON UPPERDECKS PERISHED, SAME TO BE REPLACED.
