| 1 | Cleaning of Sheds/premises/drains: There are 48 bull sheds at Sperm Station Palampur. At present, there are 18 bulls at Sperm Station Palampur. Individual bull is housed in each shed having covered and open area (loafing area). All 48 sheds are made of concrete and out of these 18 sheds are required to be washed/cleaned daily along with water troughs and mangers. Water troughs & mangers of all sheds are to be disinfected with lime on regular basis. All drains are to be cleaned & disinfected daily. Remaining 30 sheds not occupied by bulls are required to be cleaned once in a month. To maintain the hygienic conditions in the sheds, all 48 sheds are to be coated with lime on wall at least once in six months and flooring is to be bleached regularly to avoid growth of mould and use of blow lamps at least once in six months. | 2 | Bull management: All 18 bulls are required to be bathed/cleaned daily and groomed twice daily. The bulls are required to be taken from bull shed to exercise ring daily and given sufficient exercise for minimum one hour and then are to be taken back to the bull sheds. Perpetual wash and cutting of extra perpetual hair once in 15 days. Assistance in bull handling during sample collections and/or treatment as and when required. | 1 | Per Bull per day. | - | - |
| 3 | Semen Collection Arena: The semen collection is carried out two days in a week. All 18 bulls are to be brought in the collection arena from their individual pens and are required to be prepared properly for semen collection. The bulls are to be restrained properly while semen collection. The bulls are to be taken back to their sheds after semen collection. This is to be followed by cleanliness of collection arena including washing of bull aprons, washing of all rubber mats used during collection, washing of felt covers, washing of cloth napkins used for perpetual sheath cleaning before collection and washing of dirt/dust/dung/ urine on the floor of collection yard on the same day. | 4 | Maintenance of the campus in 4 kanal area: Maintenance of lawns, hedges, seasonal flowers, flower beds, their manuring, plantation and weed removal. Face lifting like painting with lime and terracotta/smowcem/apex paints as and when required. | 5 | Agriculture work in 01 hectare land: This work is seasonal. Manuring of fields as and when required. Cultivation of fodder crops, grasses and trees. Green fodder procurement from fodder trees like lopping, harvesting of green fodder and lifting to Sperm Station. Development of fields for cultivation. Removal of weeds and unwanted bushes. Loading/unloading of F.Y.M. from Sperm Station to fodder section as well as Jersey Cattle Breeding Farm in departmental tractor/ trollies.
