REPAIR TO JOINT FILLING OF RUNWAY/ TAXI TRACK, REPAIR TO CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT, SAND SIEVING/ FILLING IN SGA AND OTHER ALLIED REPAIR WORK AT AF STN NALIYA

M & L for raking out existing old sealing compound (PU Sealant Manually without damaging the pavement) including with back rod from expansion joint 25 to 30 mm wide and 45 mm deep, Preparing joint by cleaning with air compressor, priming the joint as per manufacturer recommendation, placing 30mm dia closed cell Polyurethane backup rod to control depth of sealant in the joints and sealing the joint with pitch free Polyurethane grey sealing compound conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied, the sealant should have MAF + 25 complete all as specified and as directed. Make:- Choksey Chemical Pvt Ltd / M/s Pidilite Industries Ltd/ Sika India Pvt Ltd./Colpor/Rallithane or any make as specified hereinafter. Note:- Utmost care shall be taken during raking out existing old sealant compound. Any minor/major increase in the width and depth of existing joint shall be repaired by contractor at his own cost. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rate.

All as per item No.1 above but construction joints 8 to 10mm wide and 30 mm deep.

M & L for repairing pot holes/patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 25 to 30 mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 250 metre but n.exc 500 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
