BOREHOLES: Boreholes of 150 mm diameter in accordance with the provisions of IS: 1892 at the rate of minimum one number of Bore Hole per Bay to 15 metres depth or to refusal which ever occur earlier shall be drilled. charges etc complete
ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY TEST: This Test shall be conducted to determine the Electrical Resistivity of Soil required for designing Safety Grounding System for the entire Station Area
PLATE LOAD TEST: Plate Load Test shall be conducted to determine the Bearing Capacity, Modulus of Elasticity and Load / Settlement Characteristics of Soil at shallow depths by loading a Plane and Level Steel Plate kept at the desired depth and measuring the settlement under different Loads, until a desired settlement takes place or failure occurs. The Specification for the Equipment’s and Accessories required for conducting the Test, the Test Procedure, Field Observations, and Reporting of Results shall conform to IS: 1888. Tests shall be conducted at as given below:
a) At 1.50m depth
b) At 2.50m depth
c) At 3.00m depth
