Remove loose scales, slime and marine growth on zinc reference electrodes by scraping with wire brush and carryout patch repairs as necessary. Scrap recess of Securing bolts / anodes / Reference Electrodes with emery paper and apply fresh coat of araldite putty in the recess. Remove marine growth & loose scales by scrapping with wooden scraper and examine the leakage where ICCP Anodes fitted. Rectify Leakages by filling with Plastic Compound
Renewal of ICCP Anodes and Reference Electrodes along with cable and welding of studs to hull as necessary.
Remove GRP Mat and carryout Surface Preparation by mechanical cleaning and buffing and renew Dielectrical Shield

NOTE: 1. Preparation of drawing showing the layout of the room and position of the units which are being degutted and obtaining the countersign from ship / HSL officer. 2. If the items under removal are bad in shape/ damaged/ defective the same should be mentioned in the drawing prepared by the contractor and shall be certified by the ship / HSL. Otherwise, the responsibility lies with the contractor for proper replacement. 3. If any items found damaged due to mis-handling the same should be replaced by the contractor failing which, suitable amount shall be deducted from the running bills with HSL. 4. The items removed are in bad shape and same will be replaced by HSL/Ship staff and no additional cost for replacement and same is covered in the scope of contractor. However, any modification to the foundation is to be carried out, the same will be paid on separate head. Further, it is the responsibility of contractor to bring the deviations to the notice of the concerned production engineer and certified. 5. Considering the extra efforts to put in for renewal of cables instead of regutting of old cables, 10% extra will be considered on the quoted prices. 6. Considering the less efforts to put in for removal / regutting/renewal of flexible conduits an amount of 25% on the quoted prices on GI conduits will be considered. 7. The Units pertaining to Navigational aids shall be taken up by the contractor in presence of Service Engineers. 8. All the units / cables / components which are removed and can’t shifted from ship and store in work shop / HSL stores shall be properly secured in systemic way and to protect from hot works. 9. The removal / reconnection of removed units/components/cables is covered in the scope. 10. Cables are to be dressed properly prior to connect back to the system. 11. The system to be checked for prior to degutting. If HSL/SHIP is not willing to show prior to degutting, the same to be mentioned in the survey report. 12. Date of starting and completion shall be mentioned in each drawing and should contain the signatures of ship staff /HSL. 13. Quantities indicated above are only for guidance and for evaluation of L1 status; however, the quantum of work is depending on the kind of vessels come for repairs. 14. The quantities indicated are expected scope of work for 2 years period and may increase / decrease. 15. Removal/refit of obstructions such as insulation, paneling are not covered in the tender scope. All other in way obstructions, viz., clearing of compound from coamings and refil the compound are included in scope of work. 16. Considering the extra effort to put in for carrying out the jobs in connection with Flame Proof panels/Switches/sockets/switch sockets/light fittings, etc., 50% extra on the quoted prices will be considered. 17. Considering the extra efforts for laying of new cables instead of R/R of old cables, 10% extra will be considered on the quoted prices. 18. For installation of above equipment, 50% of above amount shall be paid extra in order to install the same as per drawing and STW of the same. 19. Only removal of old cables / equipments above, an amount of 50% less to be considered. 20. In order to determine the rate payable for foundation and removal & refitment, nearest size shall be considered. 21. Above rates shall be exclusive of Applicable Taxes.
