RECTIFICATION OF PENDING DLP DEFECTS IN RUNWAY AT AF STN BHUJ (UNDER RISK and COST)

M&L for preparation of the bitumen runway surface and filling pin holes varying from 10-25 mm in diameter/width and having an average depth of 12 mm with Slurry Seal mix conforming to the latest revision of MoRTH Specifications.The pin holes shall be thoroughly cleaned and made free from dust, loose particles, powdered aggregates, debris and other deleterious materials using compressed air or other approved means prior to filling of slurry seal mix and removing all debris from MOD land complete all as specified and directed. All Individual pin holes shall be filled manually using the approved slurry mix and finished flush with the surrounding surface using Slow Setting Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (SS-2) conforming to the latest MoRTH Specifications and duly compacted all as specified & directed. The repaired pinholes surface shall be flush with the adjoining pavement and proper finished by applying a finishing coat with PME where required/directed and shall not exhibit depressions, protrusions, segregation, loose material or bleeding. Rates also including for compaction/ rolling static with road roller (8-10MT) where requred/directed. The aggregate shall consist of well-graded crushed stone aggregate and stone dust,clean,tough,hard,durable and uncoated dry particles and free from soft peices ,organic and other deleterious subatances or other materials that will cure to from a hard substance. The combined gradation shall be as per latest MoRTH Specification & as approved by GE. Note- (i) The pit holes shall be filled manaually. Number of pin hole are varying from 10 number to 100 number per sqm. (ii) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of materails used for filling pit holes. (iii) The site shall be available during non flying hours/evening hours or weekend days(saturday and Sunday) or as provided by user depend on operational requirments, no extra payment shall be admissible on this account. Contractor is advised to visit the site and familiarize himself with the site conditions. (iv) Site will be provided as wherever permitted by user & contractor will arrange necessary coordination with Engr-in-charge and submit his plan within 15 days from the commencement of work.
