CONVERSATION OF GRADE B TO PU SEALANT IN RIGID PORTION OF TAXI TRACK NORTH LOOP AND SOUTH LOOP AND ASSOCIATED WORKS AT AF STN BHUJ

Raking out sealing compound (Grade 'B' or Polyurethane sealent) from existing expansion joints of dimension 25 mm to 30 mm wide and 40 mm deep, removing spalling existing grade B on joint edges & surface and the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's directions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 25/32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) and M&L for applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & labour for cutting/chipping off carefully the cracks of runway/taxi track (hard concrete surfaces) in uniform width of cross sectional area with depth of 20 to 25mm, cleaning all dust, mud etc. Priming the cut portion of concrete surfaces with Flexopatch of Make : M/s Chowksy and filling the cut portions of cracks to the required level to match with exisitng surfaces of concrete slab/ pavement with flexopatch mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & labour for cutting grass manually and removing materials obtained from cutting/cleaning both sides of runway, PTT near DTGM board, Links, Cleaning of taxi track and other airfield area as per user requirement etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Contractor will arrange his own minimum 04 Nos. of labour form 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (including lunch break of half an hour at mid day) every day and as well as reuquired. However department will have the right to stop the work at any time due to security point of view.

Material & labour for ploughing of soft ground arrester in the pattern prescribed by the Engineer in Charge using including deploying of tractor with jungle jim/plougher and a driver and cutting of grass around runway and taxi track all complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note :- Payment shall be made for each hour or part thereof of execution of work by the tractor on site. Necessary log book duly signed by the users, Engineer in charge and contractor shall be maintained and kept on records of the Engineer in charge and shall be produced when desired by the GE. Stationary for the same shall be supplied by the contractor)

Material & labour for grass cutting by mechanical bush cutter around airfield lights, sign boards along with drain as per reqiurement by users including deploying of labour complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
