REPAIR TO JOINT AND CRACKS IN RIGID PAVEMENT WITH ELASTOMERIC CONCRETE INCLUDING CONNECTED ITEMS OF WORKS AT AF STN BHUJ

M&L for cleaning and racking out the existing sealing compound (Polyurethane sealant) from existing expansion joints 25mm to 35mm wide and upto required depth by appropriate hand tool (Chisel and hammer or L hook) including removal the existing sealing compound from the edges with knife or any other means such as chisel and hammer and grinding tool without damaging the edges and sides of the joints and also removal the loose particles using wire brush and hot compressed air and priming the sides of joints as per manufacture's instructions, provision of 30 to 35 mm thick polyethylene back up rod or appropriate de bonding strip at bottom of joints and sealing the joints with 15mm (minimum depth of sealant) pitch free grey polyurethane sealant confirming to BS-5212 type FB and applying masking tape on edges or joints to prevent accidental spillage on top of surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant applied, the sealant should have MAF (+/-) 30 and warranty as per manufacturer as uses/norms in international Air Port in India, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for raking out existing seating compound (Grade 'B' sealent) from existing joints of dimension 25 mm to 30 mm wide and 40 mm deep, removal of spilled existing grade B sealing compound on joint edges & surface and remove the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's instructions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 30/32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB), applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant and warranty as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for raking out existing sealing compound (Grade 'B' ) from existing joints of dimension 15 mm to 20 mm wide and 30 to 35 mm deep, removal of spilled existing grade B on joint edges & surface and remove the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of, the joints with primer as per manufacturer's instruction and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 20/25 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB), applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant and warranty as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for repairing pot holes / patches/cracks etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes/cracks with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 20 to 25mm deep, remove the loose material cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc and dispose to a distance exc 250m but n.exc 500m and, priming the pot holes / patches/cracks with primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with elastomeric concrete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make: Chokesy Chemical (Product Name "Flex O Patch") or equivalent product of make as specified in contract and as approved by GE.

M & L for cutting grass manually and remove materials obtained from cutting/ cleaning both sides of runway, PTT near DTGM board, Links, Cleaning of taxi track and other airfield area as per user requirement etc. complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Contractor will arrange his own minimum 04 Nos. of labour form 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (except lunch break of half an hour at mid day) every day and as per requirement and direction of Engr-In-Charge. Department will have the right to stop the work at any time due to security point of view and no extra cost admissible on this account to contractor.

Providing and operating Bush cutter (with operator) with bush cutter blade for grass shrubs/vegetation scrapping/cutting on requirements basis around airfield lights, sign boards along with drain including deploying of one labour for removing the rubbish from outside MoD Land complete all as directed by Engineer in Charge.

M & L for repair to cracks of any type of width and depth in flexible surfaces by cleaning of the cracks with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI, coir, wire brushes to remove all loose dirt, dust or any foreign materials etc and apply slurry seal mix for filling the crack complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs to 3 mm thick Acrylic sheet (Transparent) of existing Sign Boards in Airfield area complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of cement concrete unreinforced in ground floors and paving not exc 15cm thick (below or above ground level).

M & L for 75 mm thick cement concrete type C-2 (1:3:6) using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in sub base.

M & L for Sand filling under floors or in foundations including watering and consolidation complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 60 mm thick (M-25 mix) glossy rubber mould interlocking tiles (paver blocks red & yellow colour topping) conforming to IS-15658-2006 laid dry over compacted sand bed, size & pattern of tiles all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
