Rebound Hammer Test

Conducting the rebound hammer test with required instruments/ equipment by preparing the surface of RCC structural members such as beams, columns, slabs etc. by chipping the plastered surface/ finishing/ cladding to expose the concrete, smoothening the area using carborundum stone all in terms of relevant IS code : 13311-1992(Part 2) or as directed. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of cost of all tool & tackles, restoration of the test area/spots after conduct of test with matching paint, associated sundry work etc. (contractor shall visit the site for inspection before quote).

UPV ( Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity ) Test

Conducting the UPV test with required instruments/equipment by preparing the surface of RCC structural members such as beams, columns, slabs etc. by chipping the plastered surface/ finishing/ cladding to expose the concrete, smoothening the area using carborundum stone all in terms of relevant IS code : 516 ( Part 5, Section 1 ) or as directed. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of cost of all tool & tackles, restoration of the test area/spots after conduct of test with matching paint, associated sundry work etc.. (contractor shall visit the site for inspection before quote).

Carbonation Depth Test

Preparing the surface of RCC structural member such as beams, columns, slabs, water tank walls & slab etc. by chipping the plastered surface/ finishing/ cladding to expose the concrete, cutting etc. as per relevant code, and conducting carbonation test at various depth as directed by consultant using phenolphthalein of specified concentration to assess depth of carbonation. The ratio of Carbonation depth to cover depth is also to be measured to check the intensity of carbonation attack on steel bar. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of cost of all tool & tackles, restoration of the test area/spots after conduct of test with matching paint, associated sundry work etc. (contractor shall visit the site for inspection before quote).

Cover Meter Test

Measuring the exact concrete cover and steel reinforcement using the alternating magnetic fields. The test result should indicate required cover thickness and estimated size of the bar if the depth of the cover is known. The test result should also indicate quality of the cover. Cover tests are to be done in accordance with the IS 1199 and IS 516

Preparation of BoQ

Preparing the bill of quantity, tender document and CAD drawing (which shows distressed areas) for the proposed structural rehabilitation work to be undertaken

Periodical Visits

Periodical visit during execution of the proposed structural rehabilitation works (10 visits) a.Before starting the structural repair works – 2 visits b. During the structural repair works – 5 visits. c. After completion of the structural repair works – 3 visits

Visual Inspection

Visual inspection regarding the structural assessment of the buildings and the proposed structural rehabilitation to be undertaken

Assessment after structural rehabilitation work

Conditional assessment after the completion of the proposed structural rehabilitation work buy undertaking 1/3 the NDT test indicated in the original testing.
