PAINTING GRASS CUTTING AND JUNGLE JIM TO RUNWAY/ TAXI TRACK AT AF STN NALIYA

M & L for preparing old painted bituminous/ concrete surfaces, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads, pavements and the like exc 10cm wide with road marking paint, white/golden yellow/black/grey all as specified and directed.

M & L for cutting grass by bush cutter and removing vegetation obtained from cutting / cleaning on both sides of runway, PTT, taxi track, near DTGM board and removing rubbish to outside MD land complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Department shall have the right to stop the work at any time even on working days due to security point of view. No any compensation shall be allowed on this account. The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the above aspect.

M & L for cutting grass by mechanically operated grass cutting machine/ device, of grass height 80 mm to 120 mm above slasher, whenever required, including removal of material obtained from cutting/removing/ cleaning (both sides) up to 100m from the concrete edges etc., complete all as specified and directed. Note: Contractor will arrange his own mechanical slasher i.e. Tractor and Jungle Jim with POL & MT driver. The mechanical slasher will be in operation from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm (including lunch break of half an hour at mid day) every day (i.e. all working days) in week excluding Sunday (Holiday) However department will have the right to stop the work at any time even on working days due to security point of view. Quoted rates are deemed to include minimum 10,000.00 Sqm of grass cutting per day failing which recovery @ Rs. 0.55 per Sqm for shortfall area shall be imposed. No extra shall be paid for grass cutting more than Rs 10,000.00 Sqm per day.

M & L for manually grass scrapping near the runway, PTT, loops and taxi track and removal of the material obtained from grass scrapping to a distance of n.exc. 150 m from concrete edge complete all as specified and directed. Note: Department will have the right to stop the work at any time even in working days due to security point of view. No any compensation shall be allowed on this account. The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the above.

M & L for preparation, cleaning of old painted surface exc 10 cm width or girth of runway controller huts, arrester barrier huts, wind sock base & TCP huts and like and applying one finishing coat of synthetic enamel paint white/black, golden, red, yellow, orange complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for preparation of old plastered/concrete surface and applying two coats of white wash over ORA portion complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for removing existing road marking paint (thermoplastic or cold paint) from bitumen/concrete surface by using a mechanical grinder/scarifier to the satisfaction of the Engineer-In-Charge. The process includes:- (a) Machine grinding to remove existing markings without causing significant damage to the underlying road surface. (b) Adjoining "ghost lines" must also be removed to prevent traffic confusion. (c) Removal of debris, cleaning of road surface via air compressor or suction, and disposal of debris outside MoD land. (d) Rate includes mobilization of equipment, fuel, operator, and safety barricading. Note:- (i) The rate shall also include extra for removal of markings in hard-to-reach areas (e.g. corners, intersections, small symbols) where mechanical machine operation is not possible, using manual tools/small power tools. (ii) The rate shall also include repair of damaged bituminous/concrete surface (if any) caused during the removal process, using approved patch materials.
