Evacuation of settled ash from Ash Pond, transportation, disposal in eco-friendly manner of Sagardighi Thermal Power Project (7th Phase)

Evacuation of settled pond ash from the existing ash pond by deploying excavating machineries and other accessories including loading into dumpers at work site and unloading at destination including the carriage of the same for any lift and lead at both loading and unloading points, dressing at desired level at disposal areas including covering up the filled ash with minimum 300 mm thick earth after attaining the required level, all as per direction of the EIC. Approved disposal area beyond a distance of 10 km radius from ash pond is to be arranged by the contractor. Water is to be sprinkled at the loading point as well as the unloading point including movement during transport over road to prevent air pollution. Mode of transport will be as per rules, notification and guide line of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and other related departments. Excavations will be done in correct profile, slope and providing proper berms at respective levels without damaging the safety and stability of the existing embankment of ash pond, including mending damages and rectification of existing embankment as per direction of Engineer-in -Charge, if required. The work is to be executed strictly as per the Scope of Work, Special Terms and Conditions, General Terms and Conditions of the Contract, Safety Clause mentioned in NIT etc. all in addition to the above. The rate includes any dewatering of ash pond and excavated pits, necessary for execution of work, arising out of seepage, rains and whatsoever. (Measurement will be made on the basis of pre-work and post-work levels of the area of ash Pond handed over for evacuation). Note: The necessary clearance / permission from the land owner / mine authority and from other authority/department like SPCB/CPCB as required has to be arranged by the agency/contractor and the same will be submitted to the E.I.C for his approval. Evacuation of Pond Ash will be started after obtaining approval from EIC.
