REPAIRS AND RESURFACING OF ROAD AND RRS EXERCISE IN TECH AREA AT AF STATION NALIYA

M & L for repair to pot holes of depth n.exc 25mm and n.exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M & L for repairs to pot holes of depth exc 30mm, n.exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in road, path etc cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG-10, putting in premixed bituminous macadam well rammed and sand sealed with binder 9.8kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M & L for premix bituminous, macadam using paving bitumen VG-30 penetration for minimum (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with Min 4% binder content by weight of total mix (mix to be obtained from hot mix plant), laid by mechanical paver, levelled & rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: The actual requirement of binder shall be as per the job mix design and the tests specified. However quantity of bitumen from the mix design found more than specified 4%, the same shall be provided with no extra cost to the Govt. In case binder content found to be less than 4% as per mix design as specified in Schedule "A", it shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs.46.90/kg for the less quantity of bitumen used. The quantity of 4% mentioned is exclusive of any wastage and no wastage shall be taken into account for the purpose of above adjustment.

M & L for 200mm thick compacted thickness WBM of granite trap or basalt stones of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) over metal surface spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient over prepared surface complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen) VG-10 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing 150mm thick bituminous premix dense asphaltic concrete (consolidated thickness) in three layers 50mm each with 6% binder content VG 30 by weight of total mix, laid by mechanical paver and mix shall be prepared by hot mix plant, levelled, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 10 to 12 tonne capacity power roller to a uniform gradient and camber smooth surface as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen) VG-10 @5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing and laying premix bituminous concrete, 40mm (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content VG 30, by weight of total mix, laid by mechanical paver and mix shall be prepared by hot mix plant, levelled, rolled and compacted to existing camber and gradient with 10 to 12 tonne capacity power roller to a uniform gradient and camber smooth surface as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. M & L for preparation of black bituminous road surface and applying themoplastic road marking paint of white/yellow colour strips of width 125mm, minimum 2.5mm thick with applicator machine and heated mixer with striiing machanism at temperature 160 degree centrigrate, laid uniformly with width as directed.
