DESIGN OF AUTOMATED FISH HANDLING SYSTEM

OD8925/2023-2024:Preparation of Detailed design and drawing of mechanical fish handling system at Ponnani Fishing Harbour. This involves the design of fish handling system with components that have long durability while operating in saline atmosphere also sturdy to withstand rough handling by operators and public. This system is intended to convey the fish catches landed in the fishing boats which are berthed adjacent to wharf. The crate boxes which are filled by fish catches and placed on the boat deck has to be conveyed to the auction hall without interrupting the movement of the workers and vehicles along the wharf. The system should preferably have remote operation capability to facilitate the uninterrupted operation. Design and drawing should be prepared and submitted after the site visits taking the necessary input from the users, stakeholders and officers in charge of Harbour Engineering Department. A detailed project report with the detailed design of components, drawings, load and design calculations of each parts, BoQ with specification of each items/ components, animated videos etc should be submitted to the department at the end of the exercise.
