Setting up of boring rig at each location, for each borehole location including moves between borehole positions, locating and marking the location on the ground by actual survey, setting up all field test equipment and bringing all personnel to the location, making area good for setting up rig etc. complete (including boreholes of cross borehole test). Any criss–cross or back and forth movement of the rig can take place, all as per drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Conducting Standard Penetration tests at every 1.5 m interval upto 20m depth below ground level and at every 3m interval beyond 20m depth upto a maximum depth of 50m measured from ground level, at change of strata and at depths; as per IS Standards
Performing dynamic cone penetration test at various locations using 65mm cone with circulation of bentonite slurry /without bentonite slurry etc all complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the engineer-in-charge (up to refusal or 25m whichever is earlier )
Conducting Cross borehole test comprising of Five boreholes upto a minimum depth of 20m at various levels, including drilling of bore holes, providing PVC casing pipe of required diameter (6 kg/cm2), grouting annular space between the bore hole wall and PVC pipe, reaming to Px/Hx size from Nx sizes, backfilling with sand after completion of the test etc. all complete in accordance with IS 13372 / ASTM-D 4428, Excluding drilling of borehole which will be payed through item 03. as per specifications as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
Back filling of boreholes with 1:1 cement grout as per specifications upto 5m depth from ground level
Conducting electrical resistivity test at various locationsWenner's four electriode method as per IS: 3043, to find out resistivity upto maximum depth 15.0m below EGL as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Conducting pump in type field permeability test by constant head or falling head method (suitability of type of test shall be as per site conditions) in various boreholes at specified depth including providing packers as required etc., all complete as per IS:5529, specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.(Excluding drilling boreholes which is covered in item 3)
Conducting static plate load test on foundation rock at the founding level each upto failure, whichever is earlier, including preparation of test surfaces, clearance, all equipments, materials and preparation of test reports; It also includes dewatering if required etc. complete as per IS:12070, specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.
Conducting cyclic plate load test in various locations at specified depth complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the engineer-in-charge. Including Evaluation of dynamic properties of soil. Payment for making the pit of suitable size, maintaining it dry and backfilling etc shall be paid separately. It also includes dewatering if required etc. complete as per IS:12070, specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.
Installation of Piezometer to measure long term water fluctuation upto a maximum depth of 15.0m. Below E.G.L including supplying of water level measuring device. The device will be left at the observation borehole to measure and record long term water fluctuation. Initial observations upto the period of work order should be recorded and submitted.
PART–II:LABORATORY TESTS Density and Specifc gravity
Bulk Density, dry density, natural moisture content, specific gravity and Unit weight for soils
Chemical test
Organic content and Soluble salts in soil including pH value determination for soil
Conducting chemical test on water samples to determine the carbonate, sulphate, chloride and nitrate contents, pH value, turbidity, organic matter and any other chemicals harmful to foundation material etc., all complete as per specification.
Compressive strength
Un confined compressive strength on Undisturbed / Disturbed soil sample
Uni axial compression strength of rock
Conducting direct shear test on Undisturbed soil sample
Un drained
Drained
Un drained tri-axial compressive strength for soils
Sieve analysis
Hydrometer analysis
Liquid limit, plastic limit, plasticity index (Atterberg’s Limits) etc. for soils
Swelling Pressure test
Permeability test
Consolidation test giving all relevant information including but not limited to pressure versus void ratio curve. Compression index, pre consolidation pressure, coefficient of secondary compression, coefficient of consolidation, coefficient of volume compressibility.
PART III : REPORT Preparation and submission of draft report in two (2) copies for approval and approved signed copy of final report in five(5) hard copies and 2 soft copies on CD after the approval of draft report including all field records, laboratory test results,graphs,calculations, analysis of test results and recommendation etc., all complete as per IS Standard, Specifications. Including the approval of final soil report from renowned or dept approved IIT's/ NIT's professor Grade Geo-technical expert. The report shall include the conclusion for type of soil, Bore hole log sheet consisting of SPT data as per IS standards. Recommendations for Bearing capacity and subgrade modulus of soil at various depths from 1m to 4m level from ground level at every 0.5m intervals, type of foundation suggested with proper justification with tests results, Soil classification(Soft, medium, rock) as per IS:1893.
