SECTION - I CLEANING OF PIPE LINES

Removal of pipes, shift to workshop, cleaning / chemical cleaning at work shop, pressure testing, fitment and proving on board the ship for pipes of MS IS1239, ASTM etc any international marine standard CS/GI (Sch. 20, 40, 60, 80,120,160, xxs) / SS / Cu. / Cu-Ni.

Keeping view the effort required to be put in, in the following cases, the following percentages to the above rate are allowed.

NOTE: Sanitary System (only discharge lines of urinal / WC pipes. Pot water, sea water, fresh water shall not be considered) 125% Confined Areas (viz., tanks, below floor plates of engine room and centre keelson, duct keel, cargohold, helideck below area). 125% Navy Ships (other than floating crafts and barges) to comply with naval requirements. 125% Removal only 25% Refit only 25% Cleaning only 25% Pressure Testing only 25% A) Insitu. Choke Cleaning including scupper box 40% Loading & Unloading (includes removal of slag after receipt of pipes after galvanizing) 3% Transportation of Pipes for galvanizing Purpose (includes removal of slag after receipt of pipes after galvanizing) 2% Removal and refit of hydraulic pipes include flushing, dry cleaning followed by wet cleaning with oil and to cover end connections to protect dust free. 135%

SECTION - II RENEWAL OF PIPE LINES

Remove pipes from ship, fabricate as per sample / fabricate as per drawing, pressure test, fit back and prove on board the ship for Sch.40 pipes of CS/GI including renewal of end fittings and intermediate pipe fittings.

"NOTE: a) Pipe lines less than 0.5mtr and below will be considered as 0.5 Mtr and above 0.5 Mtr and below 1.0 Mtr will be considered as 1.0Mtr in a system. b) Removal / refit of obstructions such as insulation, paneling are not covered in the tender scope. All other in-way works are included such as pressure gauge /sprinkler/ sockets/ sensor pockets mounted / welded on the pipes c) For fabrication of bend by forming sections one meter and below will be considered as one meter. d) Standard bends of 2 ½” and above will be supplied by HSL and however forming of bends less than 2 ½” by cold/hot bending is contractor scope. e) For Renewal of deck / bulkhead/ stub piece fitting along with pad, sleeve and alignment with the existing / renewed pipe, one meter and below will be considered as one meter. f) Fabrication of reducer 1.0 mtr and below will be considered as 1.0mtr and maximum dia. will be considered for payment g) Renewal of clamps / support brackets / saddles is part of the renewal of pipe lines. No additional cost is payable in case of renewal/partial repair of pipe lines. Payment will be considered for renewal of clamps in old/existing pipe lines " "h) Preparation of layout drawings prior open the system pipes from vessel and approval from ship/HSL officer is part of the contractor scope. Marking to be done on old pipe with paint for identification of concern contractor pipes (paint in contractor scope) i) Modification of pipes due to equipment re layout will be considered 1Mtr and below will be considered as 1Mtr. (length of last modified pipe shall be considered for payment) j)In case of installation of new system pipe line (removal of old system not existed) only 85% of the renewal rate shall be allowed considering the work involved in preparation of layout drawing, submission to ship for approval and carry out the job as per approved drawing. (Preparation of layout drawing is contractor scope) k) Renewal/removal and refit of Victaulic couplings/Dresser couplings/VJ couplings are considered as part of clean/renewal piping works. Only coupling to renew will be considered to pay coupling cost as covered below. l) Pipe line renewal rate shall also be considered for Carry way cs pipes provided for OBD of AC, Galley, ME to dock floor etc. m) Carry away pipe- Bend to fabricate as per OBD discharge is covered above in sl no-1 n) For Cu-Ni and other non-ferrous pipes and SS pipes, copper pipes Outer diameter shall only be considered for payment. o) Pipe renewals at an area above 20 MTR. Height on drill ship and rigs shall be considered as confined/congested area. p) Renewal of pipes without pressure testing for drain system 75% of renewal /clean will be considered for payment."

Providing of carry away pipe fitting to dock floor for facilitating outer hull painting works/AC drain/Galley drain etc. and the same is to be releases and dressing/grinding on outer hull area to be carried before undocking of the vessel.
