Rehabilitation and Modernization of Western Kosi Main Canal from km. 0.00 to km. 18.29 India Portion of Western Kosi Irrigation Scheme under Bihar Water Security and Irrigation Modernization Project BWSIMP

Preparation of seat of embankment or canals by 150mm ploughing and removing the grass roots etc. and as per specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Earthwork by tractor with bucket with spreader (Tractor leveler or Tractor Dozer) in canal all types of work like filling and making of canal banks or embankment of earth free from logs, roots or any other gradients, desilting of canal bed in proper profile with dressing and finishing including new construction, repair or restoration in ordinary soil, marshy soil including cutting, loading, carriage from pit to banks or embankments, unloading, spreading, clod-breaking and laying in layers and construction & removal of dhalas properly with all leads and lifts or as direction given at site in order to disposal of earth at specified place and with all leads and lifts, all complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Earthwork in lip cutting in side slopes and bed of canal in ordinary soil, marshy soil with all leads and lifts including the cost of formation of sub-grade of canal lining profiling, leveling, controlling of slopes and fine dressing, disposal of excavated earth and nominal dewatering; if any, all complete and as per approved design, IS 3873 : 1993 specification and directions of Engineer -In-Charge

Earthwork by Mechanical means with help of Excavator, Tipper and Spreader in canal all types of work like filling and making of canal banks or embankment of earth, free from logs, roots or any other gradients, desilting of canal bed and dhar in proper profile with dressing and finishing including new construction, repair or restoration in ordinary soil, marshy soil including cutting, loading, carriage from pit to banks or embankments, unloading, spreading, clod-breaking and laying in layers properly within all leads and lifts, all complete job as per specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge

Earthwork in excavation of foundation trenches in ordinary soil, marshy soil (classified as Soil Type A –non-expansive, non-cohesive ordinary soil as per BIS classification IS:1498–1970, reaffirmed 2002) and disposal of excavated earth including all leads and lifts, leveling, ramming the foundation trenches, removing the roots of shrubs, including bailing out of water by pumps or manual means; if applicable etc., all complete as per IS 3764 : 1982, IS 1904 : 2021 & IS 1200 (Part-1): 1992 specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Earthwork in filling in foundation trenches and back-filling of structures in layers not exceeding 150 mm thick, well-watered, rammed and fully compacted and finally dressed with suitable earth obtained from excavation of foundation trenches and placed in a suitable profile within all leads and lifts complete job as per specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Labour for Rolling and compacting the earth in layers of 225mm thick at O.M.C. by sheep-foot roller driven by tractor, vibratory roller to achieve minimum 95% of dry density, including sprinkling the required quantity of water making arrangement for supply and carriage of water with all leads and lifts, finishing the surfaces as per plan and drawing including hire charge of compaction, machine and other tools and plants etc. for lined canal all complete as per technical specifications as laid down in IRC 36-2010 & IRC 97-2013 and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Labour for initial rolling and compacting the ground before forming the embankment with vibratory roller at O.M.C. to achieve minimum 95% of dry density including sprinkling the required quantity of water, making arrangement for supply and carriage of water with all leads and lifts, finishing the surface with proper grade, camber or superelevation including hire charges of compaction machine and other tools and plants etc. all complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing and laying P.C.C. M-10 in the foundation of various components of canal or embankment structures using well-graded coarse aggregate of approved quality (20mm and down), and coarse sand of requisite F.M 2.9 to 3.2, washed and screened as per IS 383:1970. The work includes mixing, laying, compacting with vibrators, curing, royalty, and all necessary tools and plants but excludes the cost of formwork and reinforcement (including cutting, bending, binding, and placing) as per IS 456:2000 (Reaffirmed 2021) specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge

Providing and laying P.C.C. M-15 with well-graded stone chips (20mm and down) and coarse sand of approved quality as per IS 383:1970 and requisite F.M 2.9 to 3.2 as per IS 383:1970 in lug slab, cross and longitudinal sleeper for lining canal including cost of materials, carriage at site, formwork and its removal after work, curing, royalty, bailing out of water by pumps or manual means, where necessary and applicable taxes etc,, all complete job as per IS 456:2000 (Reaffirmed 2021) specifications and directions of Engineer-In-Charge.
