005 Steel Renewals Quote for steel renewal at various locations as per survey report. Note 1:- Quoted repair cost shall include cost of both sides blasted and primed Grade `A’ quality ship building steel for shell and IS 2062 Grade `B’ quality steel for non structural works, degutting/regutting/ renewal of all obstructions in way of steel renewals including lagging/panelling, minor fittings/ equipments with their foundations, ventilation systems, staging etc., as indicated by survey team / RMT, proving of the weld runs by non-destructive tests and by hose test on completion of welding, pressure testing and proving of tanks where steel renewal undertaken etc. Note 2:- Firms to indicate cost of new panelling(2mm thick) and Lagging (2" MFMB) material in the budgetary cost for 50 sqm each.

ELECTRICAL WORK PACKAGE General:All electrical power components / spares like contactors, overload relays, etc are to to be sourced from Navy approved vendors. (Firm Not To Quote IMPORTANT NOTE:- Following points are applicable for all relevant DL's and shipyards/Firms to consider and quote accordingly. (a) Renewal of Items / Spares:- (i) Renewal of items / spares wherever mentioned in the QDL to be undertaken by shipyard / firm as per the sample / drawing / details provided by SS / COA / RMT. (ii) Shipyard / Firm should undertake the routines / overhaul of the equipment including the mandatory spares required for undertaking the same, irrespective of the spares mentioned in the mandatory spares list provided by ND(V). (iii) Further, the cost should include the degutting of existing item, supply of new item, fitment and proving of the system post renewal.(Firm Not To Quote)
The definition of overhaul of motor includes the following:- (a) Dismantle the motor. The motor has to be dismantled and landed by Yard for overhauling. (b) Undertake trueness checks of rotor on the lathe. Repair observed Defects (c) Check for ovality in bearing housing. Repair observed Defects. (d) Clean the rotor and stator thoroughly with alcohol, air, varnish and bake. There should be no dust particles or other foreign particles observed after cleaning (e) Measure the insulation of windings of rotor and stator. In case insulation is below one mega ohm rewind the rotor / stator (f) Replace heater and thermistor units. (g) Assemble the motor with new bearings (h) In case of repairs to shaft trueness or replaced of winding,undertake dynamic balancing of the rotor (j) Check and rectify phase imbalance in insulation of windings (k) Undertake test bed Trials and confirm no load starting and running currents, speed, SPM readings apart from other standard checks. SPM reading are to be in green zone post overhaul. (l) All motors and machinery body/ cabinets to be painted as per the original colur. (m) Brass Marking talleys to be provided for all equipment( 8x2 cms)- Qty 1500 nos apprx total. (n) Wiring/ cabling which are removed during gutting/ degutting to be re wired whereever applicable.
