REPAIRS AND RESURFACING OF ROAD AND RRS EXERCISE IN TECH AREA AT AF STATION NALIYA

M & L for repairs to pot holes of depth exc 30mm, n.exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in road, path etc cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG-10, putting in premixed bituminous carpet 2cm consolidated thickness with 0.27cum of stone chippings mixed with 14.6Kg of paving bitumen well rammed (including supply of premix and binder) all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing existing surfaces of black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc all as specifed and directed. Note: Rate included for removing grass,vegitation/scum on black top surface grass, root & vegetation/scum complete to the entire satisfaction of Eng-in-Charge.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen) VG-10 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing bituminous premix dense asphaltic concrete (25mm consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content VG 30 by weight of total mix, laid by mechanical paver and mix shall be prepared by hot mix plant, levelled, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 10 to 12 tonne capacity power roller to a uniform gradient and camber smooth surface as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for preparation of existing road surface by brushing for removing mud and sweeping with brooms and applying thermoplastic road marking paint of white/golden yellow colour lines arrows etc. width 100mm, minimum 2.5mm thick with applicator machine and heated mixer with striling machanism at temperature 160 degree centrigrate, laid uniformly as directed. Paint shall be confirming to BS 3362 Part I & II 1989 complete all as per manufacturer' s instructions and as directed.
