Outsourcing of Services for Operation of following electrically operated Lifts of any capacity, type and make at different locations, to serve any number of floors by providing services of One Lift Operator [Semi Skilled] [Metric / SSC qualified with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience], per each Lift in each Shift on all the days including Sunday & Holidays including taking care of from any pilferage, theft or damage etc. to ensure smooth and trouble free operation of Lifts to the entire satisfaction of users / department, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge: Details of Manpower: [a] INHS Kalyani Area – 3 Nos of Lifts [Three Shifts] [09 Operators] [b] Nausena Baugh Area – 18 Nos of Lifts [Two Shifts] [36 Operators] Notes for Serial Item No. 1: [a] The Lift shall be operated daily in Two Shifts or Three Shifts as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. [b] The Lifts of INHS Kalyani area shall be operated round the clock in Three Shifts of 08 Hours each daily. [c] The Lifts of Nausena Baugh Area shall be operated for Two Shifts daily. [d] The timings for First Shift shall be from 0630 Hours to 1430 Hours, Second Shift shall be from 1430 Hours to 2230 Hours and Third Shift shall be from 2230 Hours to 0630 Hours or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. [e] In case of non function of Passenger Lift, the Goods Lift installed in the same building shall be operated as directed. [f] The work shall be supervised by adequately qualified Supervisor with relevant experience of minimum 5 years in such jobs for proper functioning / organising / deploying his staff. Rate quoted for respective items under BoQ shall be deemed to be including the same.

[g] The unit rate is deemed to include for maintaining log books, record of repair / replacement of perished / unserviceable, minor adjustments, minor repairs of all accessories, cleaning / up keeping of lift and surrounding area as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. [h] One emergency light and necessary tools shall be available in a tool box with the operator in the shift for smooth functioning of lifts. [i] Conveyance and communication system like mobile phone etc shall be provided by the contractor to all Lift Attendants / Supervisors. [j] The contractor shall ensure housekeeping, environmental cleanliness of Area all around the Lift and the area shall be kept absolutely neat and clean. The Lift attendant shall clean the Lift Car Cabin, all Landing Floors and Tiles all-round Lift Doors with necessary cleaning material such as cotton cloth and cleaning solution etc. [k] The contractor shall abide by the latest Labour Rules and Minimum Wages Act. Wages paid by the contractor to the persons employed shall not be less than the minimum wages fixed by State / Central Government from time to time whichever is higher. The contractor shall also insure the workmen employed on the job. [l] The contractor is responsible for Insurance, EPF, ESI, Bonus, Labour Welfare Cess etc., as applicable and shall be paid to the Workmen as per existing Labour Rules / Acts / Regulations and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the same.

[m] DRESS CODE: The contractor shall provide the workmen with Dark Blue Colour Uniform [Formal Pant & T-Shirt] with labels showing / printed i.e. "Name of the Firm and Designation" on Front and "GE [Utility – I] [V]" on the back of the T-Shirt along with protective clothing / gear. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes. [n] INSURANCE: The contractor shall be responsible for all Accidents / Injuries happening to the workmen. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Internal Electric Supply System or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations.

[o] The rate quoted by the contractor for Serial Item No. 1 shall be deemed to be including Basic Rate [Minimum Wages as notified by Government of India / State Government / Local Body, whichever is higher], employer's contribution towards Employees Provident Fund [EPF] liability, contribution towards Employees State Insurance Corporation [ESIC], contribution towards Bonus, Overhead and Profit and Labour Welfare Cess [LWC] as applicable depending upon the manpower requirement. This will create onus on the contractor to ascertain the relevant rates and quote accordingly. The rates quoted shall be inclusive of all Taxes, Cess, Levies as applicable including GST. [p] The prevailing Rate / Wage / Contribution shall be as applicable on the bid submission end date.
