Repairing/Strengthening of Tower legs/stubs, chimney/muffing/coping of tower legs, raising height of chimney and earthing of 220kV and 400kV Double Circuit Transmission lines under GM(T)O and M - I

400kV D/C Transmission Lines under Manager(T)400kV S/Stn, Tikrikalan

Repairing/ Strengthening of rusted/damaged stubs/legs of 400kV double circuit line towers by making butt joint thereof with proper welding by suitable angles/channels/cleats etc. as per site requirement including necessary excavation., backfilling and dressing of earth around damaged stub, breaking of chimney/stub concrete manually or by drilling/chipping, laying/extending of cement concrete as per site requirement. Steel sections for cleats angles/stubs and flat plates will be made available by DTL but contractor will provide transportation with loading, unloading for transporting the material etc. among various DTL site/locations. However other required material such as cement, coarse sand, stone aggregate, welding rods, nuts & bolts with washers, petty material etc. shall be provided by contractor free of cost. Contractor will arrange his own transportation for transporting the material from DTL locations to site and vice-versa, labour and material etc. The contractor shall make his own arrangement for stay, drinking water, electricity and other civil amenities and facilities for his labour/staff and to store the material at site after receiving from J.E./Foreman.

Repairing of existing chimneys as per site requirement including all required material.

Raising the height of chimneys of 400kV double circuit line towers to avoid the submerging of tower legs in rainy season. The base of all chimneys are to be extended suitably for raising the height of chimneys of the legs to sufficient height (i.e. about 2 feet) as per site requirements. Including all the material and transportation involved for executing the repairing work.

Providing the additional earthing of 220kV of DTL in the NCT of Delhi , with the pipe type earthing & complete required materials along with transportation, loading/ unloading as per relevant IS which will be provided by contractor at his own cost.
