Overhauling of 4MW Generator Jyoti Make 750 RPM complete in all respects of 3x4MW Baner Power House Jia as per technical specifications.
The scope of work involves: 1. Static testing of alternator (Main stator winding, rotor winding, exciter rotor & exciter stator) before dismantling. 2. Marking of each part which are required to be removed like bearing cover, end cover, cooling ducts exciter portion etc. 3. Removal of exciter. 4. Lifting of UGB & Thrust Collar. 5. Lifting of top cover. 6. Decouple turbine and rotor shaft. 7. Removal of bearing cooler, LGB & TGB. 8. Thread out of rotor. 9. Cryogenic cleaning of stator & rotor of exciter and generator and other parts which need cleaning with CO2. 10. Checking bearing condition, bearing seals, tightness of wedges by tapping, checking of core, space heaters etc. 11. After complete cleaning of alternator parts curing of each cleaned part for 10-12 hours @ 80-100 Degree C. 12. Applying red becktol after curing. 13. Assembly of alternator, checking air gap between stator and rotor if possible. Alignment/ Centering of complete rotor with turbine. 15. Checking of bearing clearances. 16. Static testing after assembly.
