Description of work
Dismantling and removal of existing 90R/52Kg points and crossing laid with wooden/ST/PSC sleeper under traffic block duly removing all rails, sleepers, switches , crossings, bearing plates and other fittings including removal of signaling gears and keeping the released materials away from running track clear of infringements, with or without crossing the track,with all lead and lift with all contractor labour, tool, plant machinery and consumables as directed by engineer in charge at site. (a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
Assembly and linking of PSC fan shaped Layout point & crossing at Nominated location using contractors Crane duly leveling the ground, spreading of sleepers to correct spacing from stacks in the yard with a lead, up to 500m, fixing of slide chairs, bearing plates with rail/plate screw, Fixing lead rails, crossings with check rail, switches with all fittings and fastenings, i.e. Stretcher bars, GRP, ERCs, liners, rubber pads and connecting joints with fish plate, bolts, nuts etc, supply and fixing of angle ties on approach sleepers etc.., (a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
Assitance in Placing/ laying/shifting of Point & crossing, manually or using Ameca crane -T28 or any other mechanical means including removal of obstructions during shifting of assmebled points from assembly location to laying position, shifting of wooden blocks, linking of newly laid point with approach track including insertion of approach sleeper putting back the existing ballast including, cutcha packing, gauging, aligning & leveling to longitudinal track profile etc.., with all contractor labour, tool, plant, machinery and consumables as directed by engineer in charge at site. (a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
Deep screening of entire stone ballast in between sleeper, crib portion, shoulder ballast and below sleeper up to formation level to provide minimum clear cushion of 300mm as per procedure prescribed in Para 238 of IRPWM second reprint-2004 with upto date advance correction slips by screening the ballast to separate muck (Size less than 30mm), putting back clean ballast into track and disposal of the muck outside the locations or dump yard within a distance of 5Km as directed by engineer in charge at site. (a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
First through packing including picking up slacks up to 75 mm, grading off- track to the approved longitudinal and transverse profile as per procedure laid in IRPWM second reprint-2004 with upto date advance correction slips for passage of traffic at restricted speed of 20 Kmph with all contractor’s own labour, tools, plant etc. as directed by the Engineer in charge at site. ( a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
Second through packing including picking up slacks up to 75 mm, grading of track to the approved longitudinal and transverse profile as per procedure laid in IRPWM second reprint-2004 with upto date advance correction slips to progressively relax the speed restriction of 20kmph to 45 kmph for passage of traffic with all contractor’s own labour, tools, plant etc. as directed by the Engineer in charge at site. ( a) Points and crossing 1 in 8.5 PSC layout.
Drilling holes of specified size to correct spacing and location in 52kg/60kg rails on cess or under traffic block including champhering of holes with prescribed champhering tools with contractor’s own drilling machine, champhering tool, supply of bits other consumables, tools and plants, labour etc, complete with all lead and lift as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at site-(a) 32mm dia hole for fish-plating
Drilling holes of specified size to correct spacing and location in 52kg/60kg rails on cess or under traffic block including champhering of holes with prescribed champhering tools with contractor’s own drilling machine, champhering tool, supply of bits other consumables, tools and plants, labour etc, complete with all lead and lift as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at site-(b) 19mm dia hole for traction bonding
Cutting of 52kg/60kg rails with contractors Rail cutting machine to true vertical plane on cess or running line under traffic block duly re spacing sleepers, fixing of Railways fish plates and bolts wherever necessary, including posting of look out men with contractor’s own rail cutting machine including supply of cutting disk, other consumables, labour etc complete with all lead and lift as directed by the Engineer in charge at site.
Cutting of 52kg/60kg rails with contractors gas cutting equipment with qualified and competent staff on cess or running line under traffic block duly respacing sleepers, fixing of Railways fish plates and bolts wherever respacing sleepers, fixing of Railways fish plates and bolts wherever necessary, including posting of look out men with contractor’s own supply of gas cutting torch and other consumables, labour etc complete with all lead and lift as directed by the Engineer in charge at site.
Through Rail renewal of existing 90R/52/60kg panel/free/ service rails by dismantling and slewing out the existing rail from track by removing all fastening viz ERC, Liners, keys, loose jaw Fish bolt and nuts and laying new52/60 Kg free rail/ panel of any length available along side the track on PSC/CST9/ST Sleepers already laid in track, including opening and closing of LC's, fixing the rails with complete fastenings like ERC, GRP, GFN/metal liners, keys, rail/plate screw, fish plates bolts and nuts etc to correct gauge and alignment etc.., as directed by the Engineer in charge at site.
Collection and leading of released rails of various length not exceeding13m/wooden/ST/PSC sleepers released from dismantled points and crossings in yards by contractors own means and stacking at nominated locations inside the MCL plant duly segregating as class II/class III with an average lead up to 2km including crossing of track wherever necessary, posting of look out men during the work with all contractors labour, tool and plant, material with all lead lift, descent loading and unloading etc complete as directed by engineer at site.-(a) Rails
Collection and leading of released rails of various length not exceeding13m/wooden/ST/PSC sleepers released from dismantled points and crossings in yards by contractors own means and stacking at nominated locations inside the MCL plant duly segregating as class II/class III with an average lead up to 2km including crossing of track wherever necessary, posting of look out men during the work with all contractors labour, tool and plant, material with all lead lift, descent loading and unloading etc complete as directed by engineer at site-(b) Sleepers
Collection and leading of released track Fittings viz fish plates, fish bolts, ERC, liners, bearing plates keys and cotters etc. lying along side track by contractors own means and stacking at nominated location inside the MCL plant duly segregating as class II/ class III including posting of look out men during the work with contractors labour, tools plants, materials with all lead lift/ descent loading and unloading etc complete as directed by engineer at site.
Collecting, supply and stacking of 50 mm size hard Machine crushed stone ballast conforming to specification laid down in Specification for Track ballast(june 2004) IRS-GE-1 issued by RDSO as amended up to date, from approved quarries out side railway limit and stacking at correct location as directed by engineer at site.
Spreading of stacked 50 mm size hard Machine crushed ballast from the stack in uniform and even manner as required to achieve uniform ballast profile as prescribed for LWR/SWP track in straight/curved track including clearing of jams/excess ballast during unloading and dressing to profile etc by manually or any other mechanical means as directed by Engineer in charge.
Supply and painting with Anti corrosive paint by contractors own supply of anticorrosive bituminous black paint of approved quality conforming to IS 9862-1981 and RDSO approved company, painting of rails as per procedure laid down in para 250 of IRPWM second reprint-2004 with upto date advance correction slips with two coats of anticorrosive bituminous black paint of approved quality conforming to IS 9862-1981 including the surface preparations including all cost of paint, conveyance, labour, tools, plant consumables as directed by Engineer in charge at site
