PROVN OF EARTH FILLING AND IMPROVEMENT OF BPs AT AF STN BHUJ

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Notes for item No.01 to 06:- (i) Excavation shall be carried out with care without damaging the surrounding structure (ii) The work is to be executed for excavating soil deposited on sloping surfaces of blast pans and in traverse walls. Nothing extra should be paid for excavating at any height above the surrounding ground level. (iii) Payment under BoQ item Nos. 02 to 05 shall not be allowed for excavating soil from sloping surfaces of blast pans where the excavation is accesible from one side (refer preamble (a) on sl page No.23 of MES Schedule Part-II). (iv) Rates of excavation by mechanical means under BoQ item No. 1 to 5 includes cost for removal up to 50m for measurement and payment attention is drawn to preamble (d) on sl page no.29 of MES Schedule Part-II. (v) Rates for BoQ items are deemed to include for sweeping, cleaning and washing the concrete surfaces of blast pans over which earth has been excavated so that further treatments under BoQ item No.09 to 14 can be carried out. (vi) Quoted rates under item Nos. 01 to 05 and 15 to 19 are deemed to include for taking levels all as specified in PS. (vii) Excavated earth repaired for refilling on BPs & traverse for forming embakments (if possible/if ordered) shall be kept abide the BPs & traverse and used for refilling.

Removing excavated material (soil) n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point.

Taking down cement or cement lime plaster on brick or stone walls etc including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc.complete all as specified and directed.

S&F GI wire netting 0.90mm dia and 12mm mesh lathing to wood or metal studding, joists, etc. in walls, ceilings, stanchions, beams, etc. including all laps, cutting and waste

M&L for 25 mm thick cement concrete type B-0, 1:2:4 (12.5mm graded aggregate) as in padding for water proofing treatment on RCC roof.

M&L for rendering/screed bed 15mm thick in cement sand mortar 1:4 on fair faces of concrete surfaces, mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer's instructions. (Note:- Supply only Integral water proofing compound will be measured and paid separately)
