Providing and fixing of additional reinforcement to the river side gates which include 3 Nos. Undersluice and 5 Nos. spillway gates by way of welding 20mm MS plate to the right and left flank of each gate over the bottom three No. girders as per the following dimensions: 200mm x 1000mm x 6 Nos. = 1.2 sqm @157kg/sqm = 188.4 kg/gate Further the job includes welding of butt joint MS plate 16mm thick have a size of 180mm x 500mm x 6 Nos. = 0.54 sqm/gate @126kg/sqm = 68 kg/gate shall be welded over right and left joints of each gate. Weight of MS plate per gate = 188.4 kg + 68 Kg = 256.4 kg Total weight for 8 No of gate = 256.4 x 8 = 2051.2 kg · The job includes cost of machining of plates for making the edges smooth. · The welding electrode to be used shall be reputed make like Adorn Fontec or D&H Supratherme of grade E7018 for obtaining welds of radiography quality as required in welding of heavy structures subjected to dynamic loading. Re-drying of the electrodes at 300 degree centigrade for suitable duration as per the required norm/guidelines shall be done prior to application. · The job includes painting of reinforcement with steel primer and epoxy paint. · The contractor shall arrange for all the scaffolding/ tools and tackles required at site for successful execution of the job.

Replacement of the side jointing plates of the river side gates which include Undersluice 3 Nos. and spillway 5 Nos. at barrage by way of disassembling the existing joint plates at site and fixing of properly machined plates 12mm in thickness with holes machined to size as per sample/ drawing of size as follows: 1)Under sluice gates 450mm x 100 mm x 8 pcs/gate x 3 No. gates = 24 pcs 2) Spillway gates 450mm x 100mm x 6 pcs/gate x 5 No. gates = 30 pcs Total quantity = 24 pcs + 30 = 54 pcs The joint plates shall be painted with a coat of steel primer and epoxy paint.

Providing and fixing of SS bolts of grade 304 as per sample / drawing of dia 5/8 x 3 inch along with SS nuts and washers of the same grade for bolting of the side jointing plates to the gate segments of under sluice and spillway gates at position with required torque utilizing a torque wrench of suitable rating. 1)Under sluice gates 18 bolt/ joint plate x 8 pates x 3 Nos. gates = 432 bolts 2) Spillway gates 18 bolt/ joint plate x 6 pates x 5 Nos. gates = 540 bolts Total bolts = 432 + 540 = 972 pcs

Replacement of wornout gunmetal bushes of gate pulleys as per sample so as to avoid impact jerking while operating the gates. The job includes balancing and commissioning of gates for smooth drive.
