M&L for removing the cable connections of four pole/ three pole Air circuit breaker of capacity 630 to 1000 Amps ,415 V 50 HZ of Make: L&T/C&S/GE/ABB/SIEMENS/SCHENEIDER, Strip opening the Air circuit breaker, inspecting the parts for serviceability/overhauling complete and carrying out the following repairs/maintenance :-

a) Cleaning the insulation parts including bushings with CTC solution.

b) Checking the alignment and condition of movable and stationary contacts and adjust them all as per manufacturer's instructional manual

c) Check the bolts, nuts, washers, cotter pins and all terminal connections are in place and tights. Replace the worn-out parts.

d) Check arc chutes for damage and replace damaged parts.

e) Clean and lubricate the operating mechanism with a light machine oil (SAE-20 or 30) for pins and bearings and with a non-hardening grease for the wearing surfaces . Adjust breaker operating mechanism all as per manufacturer's instructional manual . Replace if there is excessive wear and tear.

f) Checking / inspecting shunt trip coil for serviceability and replacing the same if required.

g) Replacing the badly worn or burned contacts. Checking control device free for operation.

h) Check after servicing the circuit breaker to verify the contacts move to the fully opened and fully closed positions, that there is an absence of friction and that the electrical operation is functional

Note : (i) The rate quoted deemed to be inclusive of T&P and minor spares like lubricants, nuts/bolts/washers/ pins etc. (ii) Major spares like contacts, shunt trip coil , relays, CTs etc will be measured & paid separately as supply only under relevant items.

Dismantling the spring charging mechanism of the VCB, checking the entire mechanism for any worn/ crack/ bent/ block/ loose parts etc. for the following:-

(i) Checking the condition of the spring charging motor along with gear box including servicing the motor & replacement of motor bearings if required.

(ii) Checking/ servicing of ratchet wheel assembly, driving and charging parts.

(iii) Checking the auxiliary switch, its contacts for proper functional operation.

(iv) Checking & servicing of raising/ lowering mechanism and its locking system for proper functioning.

(v) Checking & servicing of shutter assembly for its automatic opening/ closing.

The items like nuts, bolts, spring washers, petroleum jelly, CTC etc required to put the breaker in serviceable condition shall be supplied by the contractor and rate shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

M&L for de-carbonising/ cleaning of 11KV cubicle type VCB panels consisting of bus bar and circuit chamber, metering chamber, CTs, PTs and relay chamber all as specified below:-

(i) Checking the bus bar and circuit spouts, cleaning with CTC and applying bectrol red varnish to the surface of the bus bar and circuit spouts.

(ii) Checking the CTs/ PTs for any arcing/ tracks, cleaning and applying one coat of varnish.

(iii) Cleaning of metering and relay chamber, checking/ replacement of burnt wires if any, tightening of all connections to arrest the loose contacts.

(iv) Applying mono-plast compound at bus bar joints after tightening all joints/ connections.

M&L for disconnecting carefully electrical connection from both HT/ LT (primary & secondary) sides of the transformer, keeping them at safe side the transformer indoor/ outdoor type of capacity from 63 KVA to 1000 KVA , 11 KV/ 0.433 KV, step down any make for carrying out refixing after completion of minor repairs like maintenance / replacement of HT/LT bush, metal rods, lugs, replacement of rusted nutbolts etc incl cheking the continuty of HT/LT windings , top cover opening, prevent the all oil leakages, provn of new insulated gaskets / cork sheet for HT/LT supply etc complete all as specefied and directed. Note: porcelain bushings, gun metal rods, cable end joint kit, transformer oil etc to be measured and paid separatly under respective schedules.

Manning and Operation of main receiving station (MRS) INHS Kalyani to the equipments installed/HT yards and DG sets in 3 shifts of 08 hours round the clock in all days including sunday and holidays each all as per the details given below:

NOTE : The rate shall also include the following: (i) The staff shall attend to HT/LT fuse off calls minor repairs to HT/LT panels, cables connections, terminations, items at INHS Kalyani complex, Nivedita Bldg and LT lines to DCS block , DG sets of capacity 250KVA, 180KVA, 140KVA 100 KVA and 200KVA , as directed by Engr-in-charge.

(ii) HT/LT complaints should be attended within 15 min and rectification / further reporting of major complaints shall be intimated to Engineer-in-Charge and JE concerned.

(iii) The contractor has to supply all requisite tools and all HT/LT electric safety equipments and uniform to their employees for wearing during the working hours. The pattern of the uniform shall be as decided by GE.

(iv) Maintaining general cleaning, removing of vegetation around installation such as transformer yard around the panel etc. (v) (a) HSD oil required for running DG Set will be issued under Schedule ‘B’ free for filling which will be made available at site by Department. (b) It is the contractor’s responsibility to maintain the minimum reserve of oil in tank at any time and as directed by EIC. (c) Necessary Men power required to load the HSD oil at Store yard and to unload the HSD Oil at site shall be arranged by contractor and the rate quoted shall include for the same.

Dismantling of existing CT's , Installation of supplied CT's in SIEMENS make RMU & Commissioning by checking of current transformer by primary injection up to 100A all as directed.
