Main Boiler jobs onboard Navy Vessel

1. 1. 1 Carry out following on inner gauge & brick work:

1.1.1.1 Dismounting of detachable plates followed by examination and replacement if necessary.

1.1.1.2 Inspection/ repair and replacement of brick work.

1. 1. 2 Carry out following on boiler shell: -

1.1.2.1 Inspection of headers/drum internals and fittings.

1.1.2.2 Inspection of headers and tubes flares internals and doors (inner/ outer).Repair and renew as necessary.

1. 1. 3 Carry out 100% radiography of all economiser stub element weldments. (separate wpt of economiser is to be undertaken in case any repair work is undertaken on stub weldments)

1. 1. 4 Check manual and automatic operation of safety valve. main valve size - 100 mm and pilot valve size - 32 mm and setting pressure of pilot valve (6.9 and 7.1 mpa. qty: main valve-08 nos, pilot valve-16 nos) repair defective valves as necessary (SS to undertake trials)

1. 1. 5 Following routines to be carried out on main boilers. Repair/ renew as necessary.

1.1.5.2 Dis-assemble the removable insulating boards of inner casing and replace the joints.

1.1.5.3 Undertake inspection of outer and inner insulation of all boilers.

1.1.5.4 Inspection all burner and register assemblies for damage/ wear. Overhaul register assembly and burners, carryout trails as per OEM manual.

1.1.5.5 Inspect and carryout easing of all furnace (06) and casing drains (04).

1.1.5.6 Inspect and carryout easing of all sight glasses (04).

1.1.5.7 Inspect and examine GCUs and its locking mechanism, repair/ renew as required.

1.1.5.8 Inspection/thickness gauging of blowdown system pipes of boiler, renew/ repair as required.

1. 1. 6 Overhaul following servo drives and Quick Closing Valve of main boilers: -

1.1.6.1 Fuel QCV, dia- 150 mm, WP -64 bar, TP -100 bar.

1.1.6.2 Main steam stop valve, dia -300 mm, WP- 64 bar, TP - 100 bar.

1.1.6.3 Saturated steam master valve, dia-125 mm, WP-64 bar, TP-100 bar.

1.1.6.4 TBU QCV, dia-125 mm, WP-64 bar, TP-100 bar.

1.1.6.5 Main switch valve, dia-80 mm, WP-64 bar, TP- 100 bar.

1. 1. 8 Inspection and Thickenss Gauging of Boiler funnel casing along with Y-Piece Nozzle in mixing chamber, Renew if necessary

1. 1. 9 Weld repairs to inner casing of Boilers
