Health Study and Rehabilitation Measures of the Concrete Structures of the Existing Urea Silo, Conveyors from Urea Silo to Urea Bagging Plant including Trestles and Urea Bagging Plant for the FACT Cochin Division at Ambalamedu, Kochi

Detailed physical observation of the concrete structures including Urea Silo, Conveyors, Trestles, Urea Bagging Plant to assess the condition of the structure including preparation of visual inspection report with photographs and sketches of the distressed regions, identifying the locations for conducting various non- destructive tests to assess the strength and extent of damage, etc complete.

Providing the necessary staging and scaffolding at the required elevation / Providing Boom lift, scissor lift wherever access is not available for physical examination and to conduct various test including mobilization of materials, manpower and machinery, etc complete and demobilization after completion of work.

Conducting Rebound Hammer Test on concrete structure to assess the strength as per IS:13311 (Part – 2) including chipping of the test areas wherever necessary, mobilization of necessary equipment and personnel at site and demobilization after completion of the test.(Necessary scaffolding / approach to test location shall be arranged by the Contractor).

Conducting Half cell potentiometer test to assess corrosion of reinforcement in the concrete including chipping of the test areas wherever necessary, mobilization of necessary equipment and personnel at site and demobilization after completion of test.(Necessary scaffolding / approach to test location shall be arranged by the Contractor).

Conducting Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test as per IS:13311 (Part-1) to check the uniformity of concrete and assessment of concrete deterioration including chipping of the test areas wherever necessary, mobilization of necessary equipment and personnel at site and demobilization after completion of test. (Necessary scaffolding / approach to the test location shall be arranged by the Contractor).

Chipping, collection of concrete samples and carrying out chemical analysis on the samples for assessment of the presence of chloride, sulphate and pH value.

Verification of concrete cover thickness using cover meter including mobilization of necessary drilling equipment and personnel at site and demobilization after completion of test. (Necessary scaffolding / approach to the test location shall be arranged by the Contractor).

Preparation of detailed report including test procedure, analysis of test results, recommendations and remedial measures with material specification and cost estimate for the structures as specified.
