Excavation of Trench, Depth 1.0 Mtr. & width 0.3 Mtr , in all soils including soft rocky area and clearing of roots of trees, bushes, rocks etc., ballast and reconditioning etc., (including bailing out water and disposal of extra soil) including back Billing with excavated earth and ramming of trenches after cable laying for the following depth and width as given below. The contractor has to conduct detailed site survey of the cade route as per Drg.ND.RITES/SIG/GEN/021-98. Prepare a plan to get approval of the owner's authorised representative, putting white lime powder marking before excavation of earth under supervision of owner's authorised representative. Wherever several cables of different categories have to be laid in the same path, all cables shall be separated with brick through out the length, instead of seperate trench in the concerned area. This work includes : a)Covering of laid cables in trenches by a layer of 50 mm thick Ioose soils before covering by split DWC pipe approximately. b)Disposal of soils, clearing of roots, bushes etc. in all types of soils. c)Cable route markers are to be laid along with the cable route as per instruction of site Incharge.

Transportation & Laying of all apes of cables i.e. Signalling cables of various sizes / Power cables/ 6 Quad cades in the excavated trench as per cable chart & technical specification as Drg. No. RITES/SIG/GEN/021-98. This includes supply of U clamp & anchoring the cable with U clamp at an interval of 25 metres as per Drg. No. CSTE/CON/Cable/81.

Track crossing by excavation of trench, earth work and reinstatement of Track after cable laying, as per the instruction of site Engineer. Cable to be laid through DWC Pipe.

Painting no coats of enamel paint over one coat of Red oxide primer on the following items after scrapping and cleaning of the surface wherever necessary. Primer & paints both of approved quality are to be supplied by Contractor.

Welded Steel Apparatus Cases. NOTE: Location Boxes (Full & Hall to be painted with Anti Corrosive Paints as per IS:9862-1981, one and half feet from the bottom, on all surfaces - Both inside & outside.

Main Signal post with signal unit, Jn. surface complete with Route indicator fittings as per Rlys. standard practice. This includes dependent, Independent shunt Signals also as enclosed above.

Point Machine with ground connections complete (point machine with black enamel only outside & ground connexion with Red oxide).

Lettering/Numbering Df Signals, Points, Apparatus case, TUB, etc.

Charging of lead acid batteries with contractors own battery grade sulphuric acid & distilled water with minimum 3 charge/ discharge cycles. Installation of charge batteries in group there connection & wiring. The sulphuric acid & distilled water to be used for charging shall conform to specn IS 266-1961 & IS 1070-1960. All materials required for charging will be supplied by the contractor.

Any other item (Technical or Non-Technical) which has been covered / not covered in Schedule "B"of woks will be operated from the similar items of accepted valid work-order or contract agreement of RITES or Railways or market rate analysis. (e.g.condenser,diode,resistance etc.etc.)
