The electrical cable requirements for the HVAC system are based on standard three-phase load calculations with an appropriate safety factor. The electrical loads of various HVAC components—such as VRF outdoor units, treated fresh air units, and air handling units—have to be evaluated to determine suitable copper cable sizes. Higher-capacity VRF units require larger cable sizes, typically around 16 sqmm, while medium-capacity AHUs generally require cables in the range of 4 to 10 sqmm. Smaller units, including treated fresh air systems and low-capacity AHUs, can be adequately served with 1.5 sqmm cables. Power distribution is to be provided from the main HVAC panel to individual units using 4-core, XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed, armoured copper cables, ensuring durability, safety, and suitability for a hospital environment. In addition to power cabling, proper electrical infrastructure is required, including GI perforated cable trays for organized routing, a dedicated earthing system using GI or copper strips connected to each unit, and weatherproof local isolators to ensure safe operation and ease of maintenance. These provisions collectively ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient electrical system for the HVAC installation.

Mandatory software upgradation if any as per OEM for smooth and secure operation of system shall be provided by system provider or necessary support for smooth upgradation of system shall be covered under this scope.
