TIE-IN(S)/ HOOK-UP(S) BETWEEN HDD SECTIONS & THEIR UPSTREAM & DOWNSTREAM PIPELINE SECTIONS (HDD SECTIONS & THEIR UPSTREAM & DOWNSTREAM PIPELINE SECTIONS INSTALLED BY OTHERS) All works required to successfully complete Tie-in(s)/ Hook-up(s) between HDD sections & pipeline sections upstream & downstream of the HDD section (HDD section & it’s upstream & downstream pipeline sections already installed at site by others) including "Receiving and taking-over", safe handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied Free Issue Materials (as applicable for the purpose of carrying out hook-ups) from designated place(s) of issue/ dump site(s) to Contractor's own stock-yard(s) including stringing the pipeline in Standard Right-of-Use (ROU) / Right of Way (ROW), Arrangement of all additional land required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction (other than Owner provided ROU); supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials, as applicable), consumables, equipment, labour, etc; Staking and installation of construction markers, clearing, grubbing, grading (as required) of Standard Right-of-Use (ROU) / Right of Way (ROW); Cutting Trees, if required; Counting the number and type of trees cut in presence of DFO/ concerned authorities and keeping record thereof; Trenching to all depths and to a width to accommodate the pipeline with/ without optical fiber cable/cable conduit as specified in Scope Document by excavation in all types of soil/ strata & terrain(s), including additional trenching for seismic and other areas as specified, blasting, chiseling or otherwise cutting etc.; Providing Warning Devices (Mat/ Tape or Mesh), as required; Providing trench padding as required with sand/ graded earth approved by Engineer-in-Charge; Carrying out repairs of pipe and coating defects not attributable to Owner; Thorough internal cleaning of all pipes by suitable methods to remove debris, shots, grits etc.; Stringing of line pipes along Standard ROU/ ROW including providing straw bags, soft padding/sand padding; Aligning, bending (bends for hook-ups can be cold field bends or induction bends as required based on site conditions & instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge), cutting and beveling (as required) of pipes for welding and field adjustments for tie-in(s)/ hook-up(s), NDT of re-beveled area, welding, carrying out destructive & non- destructive testing of welds (as required) as per approved NDT specifications (including radiography) and providing all the requisite equipment, labour, supervision, materials, films, consumables etc.; carrying out repairs of weld joints as required, carrying out re-radiography and other non-destructive tests on repaired joints, etc.; including evacuation, safe disposal of corrosion inhibitor mixed water (if present) inside the HDD sections and upstream & downstream sections of the HDD section installed by others including complete drying & swabbing of the sections before start of welding of any kind; including coating of all field weld joints, long radius bends etc.(as applicable); adhering to all safety norms implied by the ROU/ ROW authority (as applicable), providing required padding over and around the pipeline with sand/ graded material approved by Engineer-In-Charge (in rocky areas), post-padding with M-sand (M-sand to be supplied by NHAI / Other agency) as required, backfilling with available approved excavated material and/or other suitable soil approved by Engineer-In-Charge providing required padding over and around the pipeline with sand/graded material approved by Engineer-In-Charge (in rocky areas), backfilling with available approved excavated material and/ or other suitable soil approved by Engineer-In-Charge; including all tie-in(s) with the pipeline/ piping installed by others including cutting of test header, re- beveling as required; Carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works and all incidental works required to make the pipeline ready for pre-commissioning; Repair of defects recorded during EGP/ gauge plate run or otherwise including cutting, beveling, welding, NDT (including Radiography/ X-Ray check shots, as applicable), field joint coating etc. as applicable; including laying of minimum 12 meters length straight line pipe with a cover of minimum 1.8 meters inside pipeline trench after the HDD hook-ups on both sides of the HDD section in case the upstream & downstream pipeline sections have not been installed by the Pipeline laying contractor; including all material, transport, manpower, tools, tackles, NDT equipment etc. required for carrying out golden joints if required as per site conditions & instructions of Engineer-in-charge; Final clean-up and restoration of right of use/ right of way including obtaining work permits/ NOC from respective statutory authorities as required and disposal of debris and returning all surplus material to designated disposal areas designated by NHAI/ Company storage yard, as directed by Engineer-In-Charge; Restoration of land, facilities and boundary wall etc. at associated facilities dismantled/damaged by the Contractor during construction; Obtaining work permits/ NOC from various statutory authorities having jurisdiction and complying with all stipulation/conditions/recommendation of the said authorities; Preparation of As-Built drawings, pipe-book and other records. SOR shall be read in conjunction with drawings, scope of work, specifications, standards and other provisions of contract document.
