Labour only for attending day to day external water supply compliants of all nature i.e. leakage in water supply pipe lines, fittings/fixtures, over flow of overhead tank, no water supply, including noting the compliants in compliant register complete all as directed by Engineer - in - Charge.(Any material required for attending complaints shall be measured & paid separately under respectvie item hereinafter) Notes for Item No 23 (i) The complaints shall be attended and the defetcs shall be rectified by a team of matric qualified having minimum 03 years experienced Plumber as applicable assisted with adequate No of helpers as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (ii) The complaints shall be attended & defect shall be rectified within 08 hrs commencing from date and time of notifying the complaint failing which a penalty @ Rs 150/- per complaint per day (08 hrs) shall be levied upon/imposed on the contractor and recovery shall be made from contractor's dues. (iii) In case , after checking & attending the defect, it is not possible to rectify the defect within 08 hrs, the facts shall be brought to the notice of Engineer-in-charge by the contractor/his rep. If Engineer-in- charge is satisfied with contractors view, no recovery will be made. (iv) While attending the complaint of water supply/Electric supply if earth work is required then the same shall be measured and paid seperately under appropriate item of Sch 'A'. However , no extra payments shall be made for dewatering. (v) Cutting of GI pipe in position and threading is also deemed to be included in the job rate (Fittings and fixtures will be measured and paid separetely under respective items of sch A. (vi) All T&P required for attending the Complaints shall be provided by the contractor. (vii) The Pipe Fitter shall always be in possession of die set complete with cutters,Taps, Pipe wrench, Chain wrench, Caulking tools, complete set of spanners and ladders etc..,as required at site. (viii) The Electrician shall always be in possession of all Electrician tools, LT Meggar,Earth tester, Multimeter, Crimping tool , insulation tape, Hand gloves etc required at site. (ix) Old retrived materials shall be the departmental property and shall be deposited in the MES stroe yard on the same day.

Supplying and laying of 5.5 metre length Ductile Metre Iron (DI) pipe, Class K9, nominal diameter DN 200 mm, having external diameter 222 mm and wall thickness 6.3 mm, conforming to IS 8329 (latest amendment) with ISI marking, suitable for water transmission/utility pipeline works in railway premises. The pipes shall be provided with external protection of zinc rich coating with finishing layer and internal lining of high alumina (calcium aluminate) cement mortar to ensure corrosion resistance, hydraulic efficiency and long service life. The work shall include safe unloading, handling, alignment, laying in trench or as directed at site, proper jointing using suitable DI pipe joints (rubber gasket/tyton joint or equivalent), and testing of pipeline for leak- proof performance. The scope also includes all labour, tools & tackles, fittings, accessories, cutting, jointing materials, transportation, and incidental works required for complete execution. The laying shall be carried out strictly as per approved alignment, hydraulic gradient, relevant IS codes and instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge at site, ensuring proper bedding, alignment, and safe commissioning of pipeline system.
