M&L for supply and laying sand cushioning with local dry and clean sand over and under the cable for protection of cable , 80 mm thick before laying the cable and after laying the cable complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Only punned thickness of 180mm shall be measured for payment.

Supply, laying & testing cable XLPE insulated, screened PVC bedded , galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable (heavy duty) with stranded aluminium conductor, 11000 volts, earthed grade cross sectional area 300 Sqmm. 3 core completed all as specified and directed.

Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1.0 mt. deep and 300mm wide along side the track in normal soil/strata, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling after cable laying. This work includes covering of cable laid to trench by loose soil for a layer 30 of 50mm thickness after clearing of route, bushes etc. It shall be ensured that top of the cables laid is at a depth of 0.8 m or more. If it is less, then the width and depth shall be suitably increased and accordingly proportionate payment shall be made. In case depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions, proportionate payment will be made as per procedure. The work shall be done as per extant practice on C.Rly & the instruction of Railway engineer at site. Drg No SK 805

Laying of cable underground: Excavation and Metre Digging of cable trench in any kind of soil along the Road/Path, across the Road/Path if feasible, as per exact field requirement, generally as per CEE/GRC's drawing No.CEE/G/A-3/P-134 (MOD.-1), however width and depth of the trench shall be as per critical field requirement and as advised by Railway for all kinds of soil. The cost also includes Brick boxing and laying of cable (cable will be supplied by Rly.) in cable trench along the Road/Path, across the Road/Path if feasible, as per field requirement as per IS 1255(1983), refilling of the trench by sand and soil with re-dressing of the Road/Path way etc. as like original, providing cable route marker embossing SSE/EL/P/GRC with date of laying at suitable intervals and termination of cable to the switch gears, pillar box, DB etc by suitable gland/socket/lugs/ Bimetallic lugs etc. as per site requirements. The contractor shall supply good quality bricks & sand.
